What appears to be a very explosive Hazard team travels to Corbin.

I think this could be Corbin's toughest opponent to date.

Thoughts.

Close one... Corbin will pull away late though. Too much defense on the part of Corbin in the end. They will put pressure on the Hazard QB unlike what he is used to seeing. Turnovers will be the key to this game, and I see Corbin getting some INT's.

Corbin: 35

Hazard: 21

This should be a very good game, I have seen both teams play and both are impressive.

Hazard is the toughest opponent Corbin will have faced to date. Redhound D has been very sharp thus far in the season, and will have to step up big once again.

I don't expect Corbin to get away from the basic ground and pound game. Fritts is becoming a bigger part of the offense, and I believe that Manns will get more looks as he played well against SL.

I don't know much about Hazard other than the WYMT guys tell us they are extra explosive. Should be a good game at Campbell Field Friday night. Hazard fans, we look foward to hosting you!

How healthy are Corbin's DB's? Sowders and Crawford both missed some of the game against South Laurel, if either are out or at least not close to 100%, Hazard will take advantage of it.

Corbin 28-14.

Although I think Corbin wins this one, Hazard could cause them a lot of problems. This a an interesting match-up!!

This is a scary game for Corbin. I don't doubt that on paper Corbin has the better team but again as myself and everyone says, "games aren't played on paper." Last week's South Laurel game proved that. With all due respect to South, Hazard is a much better team. The Bulldogs have been putting up very impressive numbers and have some great players. To hear WYMT tell it, Hazard has been very good on D.

Corbin on the other hand has one of the better rushing attacks in the state. They also have a surprisingly good passing game. I have been impressed with Roman Mitchell in the two games that I have seen. He may not have the WOW factor as Cashen did where he could go out and put up 300 plus yards on a given night but he's a very smart QB. Mitchell seems to put the ball out there where he knows it will be caught. If pressured, he will throw it away and not take negative yards.

The D has been very good too for Corbin. Frederick has been exceptional this year at safety as have the Corners. If Corbin can get some early pressure up front or from the backers, I think it could get Hazard's O off kilter and a few forced passes leading to ints or incompletions.

Crawford will play, Sowders will not IMO. I would expect some new faces on the defensive side of the ball for the Hounds. Hoover, Mahan, Reed and perhaps Taylor and Fritts could see some slight changes in position this week. I would expect some changes on kickoff and punt coverage teams also.

I would have loved to see this one, but I live to far away to make it on time. Corbin would win this one in a very very close game 29-28.
