Russell (2-2) visits Boyd County (0-4) this Friday. Who do you think will win and why?

Russell started off the season with two shutout wins over East Carter and Greenup County. Then they nearly got shutout by their next two opponents, Ironton (OH) and Ashland. Now they return to more manageable competition once again.

 

As long as Boyd County hasn't lost their will to win from being 0-4 and having the goal posts torn down on them last week, I think this should be a good game. Boyd County has always played Russell fairly tough even when Russell had the much better team. I think it's a close one, but I predict Russell gets back in the winning column by a score of 21-13.

Russell wins this and rights their ship. Like Carson Palmer said, 6-4 at worst when the regular season ends.

Heard Boyd had a couple of key injuries as well. Anyone able to confirm this?

Russell gets back on the winning track friday. After playing two power house teams. I think they will be ready for this game. Russell is a little down this year but they arn't that down. It helps that Boyd is playing at home. But imo the Devils win this one by 10+.

Boyd typically has the type of player/team which can give Russell problems…big, strong lines which usually aren’t pushed around easily…followed by a pounding running attack. A perfect example is the single blemish on Russell’s title run in 2005.

 

However, the Lions really seem to be struggling this year, even by Boyd Co. standards.

 

IMO….Russell puts BC out of their misery early in this contest.

I think Russell will win easily and Boyd Co.'s struggle will continue this week.

I think Russell will win, but for the reasons Painter listed, Boyd County always give Russell a good game no matter what kind of teams both schools have. It is always close for some reason, but Russell wins.

Boyd Co. returns after home after 3 weeks on the road but I don`t see it as being much of an advantage . Russell takes care of business @ Boyd Co.
