I was four points from my 60 point call.

 

Good night overall for the Falcons. Many folks in the prediction thread wondered what good this does for a team like the Falcons......well, lotsa players got a chance to get out there and play some downs. The older players helped lead them as they learned.

So far it seems that the Fort v. Corbin will be the game for the trophy

Nice job by the young Falcons, nice to see Antonio Andrews/Troy Turner and Company watching the majority of this game from the sidelines.

 

Not much of a pulse for the Eagles which really couldn't match up with FC Freshmen.

 

Antonio Andrews set the tone with one of the most dominate defensive stops I have witnessed in a high school game.

Great job fellow Falcons!!! Its great to get the younger guys in the games and let them learn from a fabulous group above them. Your program is one to be watched and learned from. IMO three is looking pretty good!:thumb:

35 straight losses for Fort Knox... if something doesn't break this year for the Eagles, some of these kids will graduate without a HS varsity win...ouch...

That would be terrible, but is very probable. The longer the streak goes the harder it will be to get kids to participate. Not many kids willing to make the commitment to a program that can't garner a win during the four year span of a high school career.

 

Best wishes to Ft. Knox, but it is probably time they make some hard but required administrative decisions. Not too many places left that you can keep a job and not produce anything.

Thats really a sad situation for these kids, I remember when Fort Knox was a dominant 2a power much like FC now.

I agree, but perhaps not in the way you might think.... Everyone wants to blame the coach, but when you lose like that, you need new leadership, at the top..... The commanding general needs to make a change..... Not get rid of the coach.

Believe me, the CG at Fort Knox isn't in the decision making chain for the football program. The military chain of command support the school and athletic programs on their posts, but their concern is focused on National Defense. The Department of Defense Education Activity is responsible for the decisions at FKHS, not the Fort Knox military chain of command.

I was in the ARMY in the 70's and 80's. And was stationed at Fort Knox for eight years in my career. I remember some great teams coming out of this school. Always in the top 10 in the state. But I have noticed the last 10 years or so they haven't done much. Hope things get turned around. Get better Fort Knox High School. I'll be watching and hoping for better things to come:popcorn:

I don't doubt what you say, perhaps I should have phrased my response differently. Whoever is in charge of the school should take a strong look at the leadership of it. When you lose that many games, it goes farther than the coach.
