Well, I guessI underestimated Belfry's D. I'm glad they kept it close. Nice win for the Tomcats.

 

 

No kidding. I was amazed at how lopsided many thought this one would be in the "prediction" thread.

 

Ashland and Belfry are about as evenly matched as possible. It would be 5-5 in a 10 game series between the two.

2001, Belfry beat Harrison Co then lost 2 in a row to Ashland and Lawrence Co.

I think Dicky Martin stated that Ashland is 16-2 all time against Belfry. That is hard to believe.

That sounds about right. I think only about 5 or 6 of those games were in the past 20 years.

Well I certainly remember one of those losses. I believe it was in the playoffs in 1989. Belfry came to Putnam Stadium and laid a big time beating on the Tomcats.
