Tigers continue to roll! :thumb:

Saint Xavier rushes for 249 yards and passes for 207 yards for 456 yards total. Defensively the Tigers gave up 33 yards rushing and 171 yards passing.

Jeremiah Neal, who basically only played in the 2nd quarter, led the Tigers with 3 TDs (2 runs + 1 pass reception). Lamount Mcmurray ran for 1 and caught a pass for 1. Goodwin has a pass reception for 1 TD, while Jay Haden had the play of the game with a 90 yard TD run in the 3rd quarter.

Three starters expected to play tonight were still not on the field. Hopefully they will be ready for the Tigers BIG home opener next week against nationally ranked Ohio powerhouse Cincinnati St. Xavier.

G-R-R-R-E-A-T game tonight Tigers....Keep it going next week! :ylsuper:  :ylsuper:

The defending State Champion, Trinity Shamrocks, are waiting!

I guess they were waiting last week also against the #44 team in Indiana.

What was score at half time?

X looked very solid in all facets....Buehner is truly a threat on the on the ground and with his arm. X's stable of Neal, Montano, McMurray and Hayden has to be the deeepest backfield in the state. Some concern at the backup QB spot if BB gets hurt...what happened to Loehnert who started as a Frosh and JV? I thought he was probably the best pure drop back passer in the 2011 class in the city...and he's now a WR?

I agree with you Park 1221. He had a beautiful passing arm. :thumb:

I like this one, Ox!!!:clap:I never played against Buehner's father Rick, but I played for BGHS about that time...he was truly a great one. Looks like his son is a chip off the old block...with a better arm!:thumb:

LexCath made too many mistakes to compete in this one. They dropped at least 7 or 8 balls and missed plenty of tackles. The only solid drives they had, were ended by turnovers or offensive miscues. They shot themselves in the foot most of the game. They looked very timid and let the nerves get the best of them. Their defense also continues to be their achilles heel. The run defense simply can't step up and make the big play when they need to as they allowed X to run all over them. Catholic has a long road ahead of them if they want to compete for the 4A crown. They have the talent, but they must shore up the run D and find an offensive attack that works. Playing like they did tonight will get them nowhere, especially when you play against an army of monsters like X. Very disappointing game for the Knights. They are better than this and it's time to step up and show it.

28-0

I liked the aggressive play calling tonight. 4-5 deep balls with one being a TD. I also liked the fact that Daylen Hall is playing offense. It only adds more pressure to the opposition. Hayden and McMurray are getting better each week. Speed..speed..speed. Defense played well, most of the LC passing yards came late in the game. Next week should be interesting.

P.S Still trying to figure out why LC's starting RB was still in the game down 49-0?

Jay Hayden needs more touches. This kid might be the best kept secret in Louisville.

I realize not a lot of passes were thrown, but it looks like the receivers are doing a great job of getting open and getting yards after the reception. With the passing game being as effective as it is, it opens the running game up that much more as the defense won't stack 8 or 9 in the box (except for Male of course).

Come on OX.....lighten up a bit. We took our lickin'.

I believe he is the only uninjured true tail back.
