Anchorman sequel to be released in 2 years?

Featured Replies

Looks like the story outline is completed and all cast members are going to return it's just a matter of getting all of the schedules to match up and to write a draft of the final script.

I don't see the need to continually produce sequels to movies that weren't that good in the first place.

Anchorman was hilarious!

I don't see this ever happening, it's been rumored since the first one was released, I'll believe it when I see it. They've been saying the things about a script and just when we can get everyone together for years.

I agree completely!!! Absolutely NOTHING funny in the first one for my taste.

Supposed to be released some time around 2011 and will likely be set in the 1980s - a decade after the first.

Will Ferrell works much better when he just makes brief appearances such as in Wedding Crashers or on Eastbound & Down...when asked to lead a full movie it falls apart.

Sales certainly would disagree with that statement.

Sales is a horrible way to judge if a movie is good or not...but since you brought it up, I'd check before I made such statements. Anchorman brought in 84 mil, while Wedding Crashers brought in 209 mil. If we are using sales, that seems to back up this statement I made:

Another good example of a movie where he isn't nearly as funny as when he isn't asked to be a lead...

Talladega Nights. :sssh:
