Congrats to the Tomcats on the win, especially the Tomcat defense. Ashlands defense dominated this one, Raceland could do nothing whatsoever on offense.

 

Vitually this entire game was played on Ashland's side of the field. Raceland did nothing with the passing game, nothing with the running game.

I thought Raceland's "D' didn't play that bad at all. I believe that Ashland started 2 maybe 3 drives with a 1st and goal. A blocked punt, an int. and return set up scores. The Tomcats broke a couple of big play / long runs with Albner ( he is a beast) that set up scores and had a safety.

Kudos to the Tomcats and the Tomcat defense. Raceland was held to only 114 yards total offense.

That's pretty high praise. Ashland had some real good teams in the 90's.

There's only one way this could work against Raceland. That is, if the rest of the Ashland team comes out fighting harder than ever to "make up" for the loss. However, if there are players on the Ashland team who are behind Carter and feel he shouldn't have been kicked off, their attitudes might not be right and it could work against Ashland.

 

Anyways, given this new information, I say the Rams make it four in a row.

Wow. Was I ever wrong! Sounds like it was a complete domination, especially by the Tomcats defense. I've said many times that Ashland was far and away the best team in our area this year. I think I just lost my senses and got temporarily blinded by the orange propaganda. :-)

 

I'll wait and see what Russell does against Greenup tomorrow night before I make any prediction about the Russell-Ashland game.

1990 was only 19 years ago I think.

So...somebody give us some details about what this game looked like. Did Farley not look as impressive as last week? Was Ashland's speed the deciding factor as many predicted? What was the difference?

Where was Carter???

I also believe I heard them say that this was the first Raceland football team to have been shut out in something like 19 years! I believe the last shoutout agaionst us ws in 1990. Not sure of thst is correct but I know it has been a long time.
