I think at least 300 for that probably close to 400. Thats a lot of work, then touching up.

Rocket, I know a friend of a friend that has a really neat cross tattoo on his side, it is a cross and then it has thorns wrapping around it, but what is cool is that the artist made it look as if the thorns were winding themselves inside his skin and back out. It's a really neat tattoo, kind of morbid, but neat none-the-less.

 

And also, I don't know where you live, but if you live in or around the Ashland/Boyd County area, I would strongly reccomend Tattoos Unlimited in Cannonsburg, the artist that has done all three of mine did a phenomenal job, I've never heard a bad word about any of the ones he has done for me. Actually, a picture of my back piece is on display at the shop, because of how good it was. His name is Sam, but like I said, I don't know if you live around the area, but if you do I'd highly reccomend going there and seeing what you think.

I'm in Paducah! I figured in the 300-400 range for a tattoo.

Here's an idea of doing some wording.

For the past couple of years I have been thinking about getting one myself, just can't pull the trigger on it. Have a couple good ideas for ones I would like but just can't bring myself to do it. I guess you don't put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari.

The triquetra has been found on rune stones in Northern Europe and on early Germanic coins. It probably had pagan religious meaning and it bears a

resemblance to the Valknut, a symbol associated with Odin.

 

For pagans, the Triquetra

represents the threefold nature of the Goddess as virgin, mother and crone. It also symbolizes life, death, and rebirth and the three forces of nature: earth, air, and water. The inner three circles represent the female element and fertility.

 

For Christians, the Triquetra represents the Trinity:

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--three persons as one God. Its three equal arcs represent equality, its continuous line expresses eternity, and the interweaving represents indivisibility and unity.

My son got his first tattoo roughly two weeks before he passed. It's a triquetra/tribal band that has his favorite Bible verse (Psalms 27:1 {...the Lord is my strength}) underneath it.

 

Here he is right after he got it.

When you get it narrowed down and a pretty good idea of what you want to combine, what size, etc let me know. If you're interested. My son is an outstanding artist. I'm sure he would be glad to draw you up something original that you could take to a parlor there. No charge. He would just want a picture, so he could submit as an art project at school.

I am warning you, they are highly addictive. I started out just wanting one, and well, you know how that ended.

This is impressive yet still easy to conceal if you want to cover it. I could see doing something similar with the Lady Dragon in post 55, or the purple cross in 54.
