August 18, 200917 yr Say what you will about Cameron, but nothing is as loud as Rupp when the crowd decides to get loud. I think they measured it a couple of years ago and it exceeded the sound of a jet engine at full throttle. Every time I've been there for a game, I've lost part of my hearing. :sssh:
August 18, 200917 yr Here is the thing. There are crazy UK fans just like there is with other teams. I would argue that fans from teams with a lot of tradition in general have some of the craziest fans as well a well-informed fans. UK fans crave any news they can get in the offseason about the basketball team. Now, some UK fans definilty deserve crticism. Leaving messages and wall posts to Dominique Ferguson is ridiculous. They should get over it. I understand criticism for that. But to get on here and criticize UK fans because they voted for Rupp Arena in a poll seems silly. Some of you guys need to find someting a bit more legit to criticize UK fans for.

I look at them voting for Rupp as no big surprise, and really quite expected -- especially when you consider Kentucky rates extremely well in terms of how many households are wired for Internet usage. I've got bigger fish to fry in the criticism department than what is little more than an American Idol contest.
