Chuck was and is done. We all know that. I think Dana and Silva (ufc matchmaker not Anderson) are just going on the fight so they can believe Shogun is 100% healthy finally, and perhaps back to his PRIDE form. He maybe healthy, but I doubt he is back to his PRIDE form being he looked much bigger and stronger, so I'm sure he was juicing since they don't test over there.

 

I too think Rampage should get the next shot, but if Rua can fight close to what he was in PRIDE then he will be a tough out.

 

I think there's definitely reason to wonder about Rua juicing in PRIDE. He hasn't looked anywhere near the guy he was before. He suffered a humiliating loss to Forrest, not because it was Forrest, but because I could have beat him after the first round. He was exhausted. My cardio is probably better (exaggeration).

 

I'm not impressed with his win against Coleman or Liddell. Chuck just can't take a punch any more. I thought he actually was looking pretty good in that fight until he got hit. Shogun certainly didn't impress me that much, he looked average and then he landed a punch against Glass Joe. Big deal.

 

I think Machida can "name the score" in that fight. He'll KO him at some point, IMO.

I do. I think its ridiculous. But, the 205 division is so jumbled up with A who beat B who beat C who beat A...I guess they just had to give it to somebody.

 

I think Rampage should be fighting Machida. I don't think Rampage should have lost the belt to Forrest. JMO

 

Machida will destroy Shogun. Rampage will beat Rashad. And, then we'll get to see who the best at 205 is.

Then give Silva, Rashad. The winner of Machida/Rampage faces Silva when he destroys Rashad!

Sounds good to me. I want to see Silva fight Dan Henderson, Rampage and Machida. That's the three fights I'd like to see.

 

Beyond that, I'd be intrigued by a Couture/Silva fight. But, at that point, Randy will be close to 50 years old. If that fight were to happen, it would need to happen by the end of 2010.

Marquardt is very good, IMO. He gets overlooked because he came in and got dominated by Silva (like everyone else). But, take Silva out of that division, and he's as good as anyone else.

 

Marquardt also got beat by Thales Leites as well.

Maybe but they were thrown for a loop when Rampage said he'd rather fight Rashad than take the title shot. They had to give it to someone.

And to add to that, who doesn't like to see people get KO'd? Wouldn't expect to hear this from a MMA fighter.

I have become a big Maia fan very quick....I would give my front seat in bleep, To be his towel boy...

I would like to Add, For his fight later this Month, He's been in Vegas training on his Stand up and Muay Thai with Wanderlei Silva...Maia and Silva are really good friends..

Machida/Rua looks to be the next huge fight although I am looking forward to Couture/Big Nog.

 

Looking forward to both of these and Silva's next bout.
