If this true, what do you have to say about civil sevice weddings that take place at the courthouse or in a backyard where no minister is involved? Are these not a holy union between a man and a women? If not, then is ok to dance into these weddings?

Can't speak for RTS, but no those are not a holy union but of course legally valid. And yes it would be OK to dance and do whatever at those weddings. In fact, if this dance thing had gone on anywhere but a church (in a reception hall, for example), none of us would have commented on its tackiness.

We do those things to deliver the message of Christ's sacrifice and love for each of us. Where does it say that the ONLY way to give Christ's message is a 20-minute sermon with 3 points on how to apply it to your life.

 

Christ used many different ways to get his messages across.

A civil union is just that, a civil union.

 

If you've been paying attention to my posts, you'd know I said as long as it's not in a church, it's fine with me. That includes having a minister, priest, rabbi or what have you present.

While I agree with you on the italicized, that is not going to be a popular opinion in this country with the push to legalize any form of marriage that a person wants.

Oh, OK, so if I go to your church and dance down the aisle to my seat or pew, dance down the aisle to communion, and dance down the aisle as I leave you, your preacher/priest, the congregation and you would think that just fine and dandy? Somehow, I doubt it. Somehow I think I'd be asked to knock it off or not come back.

I can't believe they got a court room to agree. Even if it's fake. That was an actual court room they filmed part #2 in.

I haven't seen much humility in any wedding I've been to. Enjoying what is supposed to be the "happiest day of your life" doesn't seem like a bad thing to me.
