That won't last long. Ford refused Government money even after being strong armed into accepting it. Now that Ford may see a light at the end of the tunnel without getting a bailout, look for them to get some extra government scrutiny. Since Ford is now technically competing with the BHO Big 2 Automakers, look for them to get attacked from every direction.

 

An example is this: The New Ford Taurus is the most important car to Ford since ..... well when the original Taurus came out. Ford may very well sink or swim based on the sales of this one model. I have read several "Car Magazine" reviews and all spoke highly of the new Taurus. I have read one newspaper article written by a columnist (not an auto writer) and it was almost comical to read his review. He seemed to down play most improvements and good points on the new Taurus, but spent two or three sentances complaining that even thought the adjustments on the seats were almost infinite he just could not seem to get them comfortable.

You think just like I do. The left can attack all they want though facts are the Fusion, Taurus, F Series, and Mustang are better than anything the BHO 2 are putting out in their class. They are also better than anything the foreign companies are putting out.

I'm confused. The article I read (in the C-J) indicated further debt reductions would occur by the end of this year resulting in more profits. I really don't think the government is going to interfere. I'm not sure why you think they would. The government has no reason to. Ford is doing what it SHOULD be doing.

I know several people who bought a Ford in the last few months because they stood on their own and are not part of Government Motor Corporation.

I do believe that the far left want goverment control of virtually everthing. They believe in equal outcome for all. And I think that there is evidence that portions of the current administration tried to force Ford to take money, just as they wouldn't allow states who didn't want to take stimulus money. I truely believe there will be an effort to punish Ford from that sector.

 

I also believe that there is a sector of people in this country who will support Ford for their desire to stand on their own. I do not know how this will end. Will there there be a winner, a loser, or a push?

Read the article the UAW probably will not give the concessions to Ford they did the other, Ford does not have access to low % rate loans the others do, and their main competition is owned by the government and UAW.

I bought a Ford last month. Guess why? It was the car I wanted. It had nothing to do with bailouts (or lack there of), though that's the first thing that my conservative friends were cheering me about. Ford had the best product with the best deal for me.

 

I do love to watch people get themselves all in a bind over a perceived conspiracy, though.
