If the state doesnt want my money, fine. I'll just make my 30 minute trip to Indiana and give it to them. If the state is too stupid to take my money then so be it, Indiana will laugh all the way to the bank.

On a Republican dominated board 91% of people think this was a bad move! :madman:

Welcome back to the party! :dancingpa

Revenue - Expenses = Profit. They do not cover operating expenses, they are what is left over after everything has been paid and can either be reinvested in the company or put in the owner's pocket.

I will give credit where credit is due. From a semantics perspective, which I usually call people out on, you got me there.

The fact of the matter is though, if their profits drop from being here and they can make more money elsewhere they will leave. When they leave they will take all the jobs they created in Kentucky with them. At that point our unemployment will go up, our tax revenues will go down and the odds are good that more people will leave KY to find work. I care about their profits not because I want them to be wealthy and sit high on a mountain of money but because their success is Kentucky's success.

I am having a hard time believing that you are willing to see that happen.

I do not want to see the horsing industry leave Ky.

I do not want to see expanding gambling in the state.

I would have LESS problem with slot machines in casinos where gambling is already occurring than casinos popping up all over the state.

From what I read last time this was discussed, slot machines was described as the crack of gambling. Very easy to get started on and highly addictive.

You guys can say all you want about government telling us what to do but honestly, do you think there is not costs that you and I, as responsible adults, are going to have to pay for those that are not? Yes there are. Bluster up and say we shouldn't have to and that is irrelevant cause we know in this political reality we live in, we are going to pay for the irresponsible of others. And I am tired of paying for the irresponsibility of others.

Then exercise your rights and quit voting these idiots in.

I for one, refuse to have such a defeatist attitude towards the issue.
