Let the registered voters of Kentucky Vote...

If it does not pass I might not like it but I can live with it...Majority Rules...

Communism in Kentucky makes want to me :puke:

You will in the next election for legislators/governor. There is no reason for KY to vote on every issue. We elect the legislators to decide laws, let that process takes it's course.

ABSOLUTELY people should be allowed to make money. I am for lowering or abolishing taxes on any profits that is directly used to create more jobs by reinvesting.

Put Pep said we should do this to make our horse breeders be even more profitable.

I didn't realize it was my job as a citizen in this state to make it where the rich people can make even more money.

No, I said it is to keep our horse breeders from leaving here and taking the jobs that create to other states.

If you are going to cite me, do it right.

You seem to think that your unstudied opinion is better than the people who actually study it. To me that is alluding that you are pretty knowledgeable in the field...maybe even an expert.

Nope and I think you for your opinion as I have been trying to grasp why this hasn't already happened.

The horse racing industry isn't dying at all, just in this backwards state. In actuality where slots are allowed the tracks are thriving.

So, we can only give opinions in areas that we are pretty knowledgeable. Thanks, didn't know the rules have changed in the P & R forum. Used to be everyone gave their opinion whether they knew diddly or squat.

Check your post, you said better profitability. That is money in the owner's pockets, not covering expenses of jobs.

Profits also cover operating expenses and profits are the point of being in business. In the event that we don't allow our horse industry to compete it will shrivel and die. That said, to facilitate a proper dialogue allow me to fix it:

I will respond in full later, but the point of this isn't to add jobs. The point is to keep the jobs we have in the horse industry from moving to areas that are more profitable for breeders. If the breeders aren't making as much money here they will leave and take the jobs they create with them. It is the nature of economics, and we have decided to tie a weight on our industry as opposed to letting them run on even terms.

It's about the jobs we have, not the jobs we are trying to create.

Revenue - Expenses = Profit. They do not cover operating expenses, they are what is left over after everything has been paid and can either be reinvested in the company or put in the owner's pocket.

Which works good for you...Because if there were a state wide vote today...I don't think the outcome would be very close...:thumb:

People don't always vote on what is best for society but rather what they want.

So we need the Government to tell us what's best for Us as a whole?

80% of the People what one thing the other 20% do not...The Government agrees with the 20%...That scares me...:scared:

Didn't most of the people want to continue slavery?

Didn't most of the people want to continue slavery?

Maybe in the South...I wouldn't think the entire United States did...:idunno:

I don't think Voting for or against Slavery is the same as voting for gambling...

Gambling has nothing to do with violating Human rights...:thumb:

Thank God you and government are here to tell us what's good for society.

Isn't that what's happening in Iran right now?

Thank God you and government are here to tell us what's good for society.

Well I thought we had you telling us that expanded gambling was good for society. You are doing the same thing with your opinion.

Show me where I said that? I said it would be good for the horse industry and I think it needs to be put on a ballot for the people to vote on.
