Well, don't hold your breath on that deactivation scenario, that will never happen, never!

By the way, I am not an apologist. Chad's actions last year were terrible, but he is on the team and he will play and he will play hard. In the end I cheer for the Bengals and will cheer for Chad.

I know it will never happen, but that's b/c they have just as big of an idiot for an owner as they do a receiver. To pass up two first rounders for a guy who didn't want to be there is dumb. Especially an aging WR.

How do you know he'll play hard? He's a goon.

People blast him for not showing up, then he shows up and some people blast him for that too. Chad is in a no win situation with some people around here.

The only people who should be happy about it are division rivals. So this makes sense to me.

The exact point I was trying to make the whole time in this thread and the other. He gets bashed no matter what he does.

Do you guys think he dosen't deserve any criticism? Do you all think he has been a good teammate that has put the team before himself?

The one thing I liked about Chad is that I thought he always worked hard. He came out and said he didn't lift a weight or run a sprint last year because he wanted out of Cincy so bad. He is starting to make T.O. look better and better. At least he works his tail off! The guys in Buff said he is teaching them how to work as a professional.

Count me in as one that would love to see him shut up, work hard and produce as opposed to run his mouth, not work hard and underproduce!

I am on him as bad or as hard as anyone when it comes to last season and his production and his antics. There is absolutely no excuse to let your teammates down w/the decisions he made by not working out or working hard. I certainly do think he deserves criticism for all of that.

I just think that if he does show up and work like he always did prior to last season, regardless of the reason, then we as fans should just let it be maybe. He obviously has done the work this off-season and looks to be in tremendous shape and seems to be committed.

I would love to see him work w/our younger receivers, there is no doubt he can teach them about cuts and routes and footwork if he wanted to be that type of leader. That is probably wishful thinking by me!

He wouldn't be blasted if he showed up on time, shut his mouth, and worked hard. He's 0-3 in my book. I hope someone beats him up every day in practice for not going hard last year. nobody else on the team gets blasted hte way he does b/c they are all there and they don't need a camera in front of them.

He brings it all on himslelf. He needs cameras to function. Have we heard anything from Coles? No. B/c he's a professional and gets it. On the otherhand we have an idiot that changes his last name to an incorrect number for attention.

Chad did say he wasnt going to be the old Chad "You cant expect to get the same chad til I prove myself again".

Over / under on the # of days before Chad's 1st injury?

Last preseason game is my guess.

Yeah, that is why Chad reported, because it wasn't a story anymore. That makes the most absolute sense to me!:laugh:

Actually, it makes more sense than anything else I've read on this thread.

Anybody that acts the way he acts is going to get bashed. You can't want the spotlight on you 24/7 and not expect to get this kind of criticism. If you're going to act perfect, then be perfect and I"m not so sure that's possible.

Apologists unite.

Defend an idiot that said he tanked last year on purpose b/c he wanted out. I'll stick w/ the guys who work hard, want to win, and want to be there. I hope he's deactivated for the remainder of his contract and they hold him to it.

:thumb: I couldn't agree more. He's just as bad as TO, imo.

The Cancer is back in town...
