June 7, 200917 yr I'd never heard of him (because I dislike country) but he had a huge following when he showed up at Renfro Valley a few weeks ago, it caused some minor traffic delays in my town.
June 7, 200917 yr I think he might be one of the best writers in all of music. He is a good singer too. I'm going to catch him the 26th at the Madison in Covington.
June 8, 200917 yr I LOVE Jamey Johnson, His songs are very inspirational to me, I have veered down the wrong path, Not so long ago, 5 or 6 months ago.....With alcohol, As crazy as it sounds, through his music, I have a hold on it now, High Cost Of Living is my favorite.... "I was just a normal guy Life was just a nine to five With bills and pressure Piled up to the sky She never asked She knew I’d be Hangin’ with my wilder friends Looking for some other way to fly" "With my new found sobriety I’ve got the time to sit and think Of all the things I had . . . and threw away" Another is " That lonesome song"....That is me, exactly me Those two stick in my head, Mean so so much to me... Where exactly will this be? I will give everything/anything to go.. Edited June 8, 200917 yr by Warrior32
June 8, 200917 yr Just to add, Thank you Jamey for bringing country back, this is the real country right here.... I see that you may go Scarheel, Maybe we can meet up..
June 8, 200917 yr I like Jamey Johnson. He has some really good songs, and I like his sound as well. Hank Jr was my all time fav, But when I heard this guy named Jamey Johnson, And his In Color song, I was floored, See ya hank, You have since moved down in my book...
June 8, 200917 yr I definitely like In Color. I saw James Otto in concert opening for Trace Adkins and Alan Jackson last year. I guess Otto is pretty good friends with Jamey Johnson, and he sang this song. it's pretty solid.

June 8, 200917 yr I like the sound of Jamey Johnson. Raw and real country music. High cost of living is my favorite. I also like The Dollar quite a bit. "Staring at that giant cross Just reminded me that I was lost And it just never seemed to point the way"
