I've seen cases in which it did hurt. But in the case of the Leffew brothers I think they will do a fine job. Why aren't they at Boyle?

 

 

The only probem with Boyle is that the "Glass is already full". These are great great guys and IMO will only improve the program at Lincoln.:thumb:

Just cause you played in the NFL doesnt mean you will be or are a good high school coach.

 

I could go on and on here. It depends on what the definition of a "great" coach is.

In my personal opinion both Bobby and Travis have what it takes to be great coaches because obviously they have been great football players plus they both have character and know how to build character and more. Which will for most players take them further than the NFL. Meaning, they are the type of players/coaches that can have an impact on a child's life on and off the field. Obviously, I am a Boyle parent. I would love to have both of them at Boyle. But at this time that is not happening. Even though Bobby has been at LC, he has had a great impact on my son as a Boyle football player off the field this past year. What Bobby did for my son, he will carry with him for the rest of his life. Bobby and Travis both are this way. They care about kids and are / or will be more than a coach. I am sure LC will be grateful to have a coach like him and I am sure they are!! Travis is the same way. Travis going to LC (if it is true) will be a great addition to LC football or any other school. He can be the kind of coach I want for my son.

Travis Leffew is helping Lincoln this year and Chuck Miller is the new weight lifting coach. Both are good guys and are very serious about what they do. This should help Lincoln this year.

These are great pick ups (Leffew brothers, Yeast, Miller) for Mike Settles. I was told that Dean Wilks, former OL/DL coach is now the middle school head coach. I'm thinking that allowed both Bobby and Travis to be there at LCHS.

 

Can anyone confirm that Wilks is the Middle School HC? Can you finalize the coaching staff at LCHS?

Can either Bobby or Travis coach? I have not a clue but I can tell you first hand what they have and that is a great love for football and kids. If I had kids playing football I would wish that one of these fine young men was their coach.

 

These two young men have grown up to be what every parent would love to have - two terrific men.

 

I wish them all the luck in the world at Lincoln and I just know that everyone there will come to love each one of them as much as we love them in Boyle County. :thumb:

Wilks is the new Middle School HC. D. Jones will help this year, But then its all Wilks.
