Aaron Cosby to Prep School

I wouldn't put Manual in that group that could knock off Eastern. They only took J'town to overtime last year in the KOB without Jenkins. Manual has nothing. :isurrender:

Things change in the course of a year. Kids get bigger and stronger, which means all of this talk means nothing.

About this time last year wasn't Scott county a lock to win state?:lol:

Manual did nothing this year, but everytime someone misses the 7th region this year and who the best teams are and don't mention Manual you get mad. They need to show us something 1st,

Really what we say right now don't amount to a hill of beans. Injuries happen. Scott Co. lost Richie Phares in the regional semis and while it was less costly because he did get back Jenkins missed a lot too.

Team chemistry is also huge and I think Manual, Seneca, and Trinity had issues at times during the season last year

Trinity also loses two of their best players for next year in Chris Harrison (sp?), who is moving to Michigan, and Melvyn Little who graduates.

Reading your statement above, I put in bold the only thing that matters. It maybe fun to contemplate what might be, but only the kids can make it happen through their hard work over the summer and their work thoughout next year. I hope every kid reaches their true potential.

So, what is left at J-twon that makes them a contender? Thomas Jackson is a D1 player. Tim Jackson, and Richard Kennedy are still there but not all reion players. Word is that Desmond Dorsey is not going to be there and Sam Tolliver is going to a top program in Northern Ky. If that pans out, I don't think J-town is anywhere near where they have been the past three years..I think that Eastern is hands down the favorite. Male, Seneca, J-town and Ballard would round out the top five in the 7th region.

Where is Tolliver going in NKY?

I have heard Holmes (for Tolliver). He has family from the area and lived there earlier in his life, I understand.

Is he a PG? If so, that would help to fill a void for them.

Sam also plays football. I doubt he ends up at Holmes, but you are probably a little closer to the situation and know more about it than myself.

Not that it matters, but didn't Sam play AAU ball with the Holmes boys last year in the state tournament?

IMO he will be dissapointed because there is just nothing like playing high school basketball in Ky. Its special. I could be wrong, but IMO the games he had this year against teams like Ballard and Eastern will probably the most fun and exciting games he will play during his basketball career before college. Just a thought.
I don't know that Cosby will be disappointed, but your point is valid. The New England prep league is loaded with talent, but the atmosphere there is almost nil. I've seen some footage of some games between big-time teams up there that are played before maybe 50-100 people.

I don't know Aaron Cosby, and I know nothing about him other than what I've read about him. But moves like this, in my estimation, say something about where a player's priorities are. The constant changing of schools and the "reclassification" reflects more of a desire to position himself for "the next level" than it does to be part of a winning program.

I just don't think he realizes what he is giving up. But it could be a good move for him. I just think that with him already having D-1 offers that he would be better off being in Ky. Thats my opinion. Which while I believe Morrow is a good coach there maybe some baggage there that could of caused him to leave.

Sounds to me like all those scholarship rumors were just that...rumors. Watching the 7th region tournament, he was the fourth best player on his team. And he certainly didn't like Morrow sitting him down for long stretches at a time.

They have nice point guard coming back in Corbett. He is a very unselfish, team player, and I think Trinity played better as a team when he was at the point last season. They also have Sewell and Epley coming back. They will still be pretty good.

Not on the same level as Male or Eastern though IMO.

Eastern- I must give them the respect for this years performance and looking at who they return next year they are ahead of the pack.

Male- I don't see it. With Sewell and Epley, Trinity will have two players as good or better than any of Male's players and Trinity's surrounding cast will be pretty good with Corbett at point and several other returning players.
