Don't be too sure about that. Bardstown holds its own against much larger schools quite regularly.

The contract was signed to play Hopkinsville in the Trigg Co. bowl 3 years ago and Alcoa pulled out of the game at the end of June.

 

That may have happened then but it won't happen now. Alcoa is only a little over an hour from Bell County. I read last night were Alcoa has won 5 straight 2A crowns in TN. Tough matchup for the Bobcats great test early for both defending state champs.

Pulaski Co. vs. Somerset in the Ray Correll Bowl should be a good one.

Lexington Catholic vs Covington Catholic in the Bluegrass Bowl.

I agree. North shouldn't be scheduling a 2A school like Bardstown. I understand that North will be a little down this year...but seriously.

If Alcoa had the players they've had in the past Bell won't keep it close. They're on another level athletically.

I always thought it would be fun to have Dixie Highway bowl games with Cov. Cath, Beechwood, Dixie and Lloyd. All teams within five miles of each other. Each year schools take turns hosting and picking a charity that means something to that particular school, or fund raise for something that the hosting school needs for itself.

I saw on an earlier post that the Henry County Bowl has Trimble County vs Atherton. Does'nt sound great, but if I am not mistakin Trimble Countys new head coach just came from Atherton. Should be interesting.
