So you are saying Krumps isn't the best because he has more talent? I don't think you can look at it like that, but you are entitled to your opinon. There is a reason why baseball doesn't have classifications. Smaller schools can compete a lot better in baseball then say football, because it isn't that much of a "numbers" game.

 

I never said that one bit, if you read some of my previous posts I said he is a great coach. He may have more talent than most prograams but for him to post 22 or 23 consecutive seasons of 20+ wins means you can coach and are a very good one at that.

 

I may be a little biased in my opinion as my son and I were able to learn alot from him while he played for him summer ball. He has done so much for my son and he was by far the best coach he has ever had. I believe he contributed much to my son's skills as a player more than what he had learned under Walt when he played for the Colonels (although some of that may be due to the fact that he was hurt both seasons in which he played for him). I was able to see also what he did with some of the other players of the team and everyone of them was able to learn something before seasons end. Sure Meyerhoff wants to win games and such but I believe he enjoys even more of improving the players that play for his high school and the summer team he coaches. My son and I will forever be indebted to him. He is a great coach top to bottom and has some of the best assistant coaches in the game as well to boot.

 

I'm not that familiar with Krumps but as I have stated before, he is obviously one of the best coaches around for him to have accomplished some of the things he has over the many years he has been around at CovCath. I think that Krumps and Meyerhoff are two top dogs in terms of coaching in all of NKY, JMO...

Meyerhoff is a great coach but the talent level at Beechwood has been very high!

I shouldn't of stated it like that. All I am trying to explain is that I didn't buy the fact that you said you would take Myerhoff because he is at a small school, has less talent, but has a lot of sucess. Which you said in a previous post. Like I stated before, there is a reason why baseball has only one class. Now, since reading that second paragraph, I can see why you would pick Myerhoff.

Most talent? This year? No, CCH does. A couple years ago with Curley, Slusher, Elliot, and company? Yes.

IMO a great coach is one who consistantly produces winning seasons, now for those who have the numbers it sure makes it easier. :banana:

Rule 4

Most everyone is going to be partial to their own head coach. Ryle's Pat Roesel just crossed the 300 win threshold earlier this year. I am extremely impressed with his in-game strategy and consider him one of the best in NKY in that area. He's an intense competitor on the field and his record speaks for itself.

 

Along those lines, Ryle's JV coach Demler once again has his team positioned to make a run at the JV championship, something he pretty much does on an annual basis. Very good coach and the guy can still play ball too.

Someone mentioned a JV coach, by no means is the guy I'm going to talk about Krumps, Meyerhoff or any of the other coaches mentioned, but Lloyd's JV coach, Kyle Oberschlake, does a fantastic job. His teams are made up of Freshman and 8th graders, this years team for instance is all freshman and 3 8th graders. I believe they are 10 and 4 with 2 losses to St. Henry and one loss to undefeated Campbell Co. He gets the kids ready to play everyday, they are learning baseball and the kids love playing for him. Keep up the good work!!

If your going to mention Lloyds JV coach then you have to include the Head Varsity Coach Aaron Moore hes done a heckuva job out there.

Brad Arlinghaus from Conner does a great job. He is beginning to turn the program around after the down fall from the previouc coach.
