They have a guy teaching there at the middle school who has head caoching expereince and has coached for several years. He was at North Laural and Madison Southern the last couple of years. His name is Warren Mills and I beleive he would do a good job at Powell and woudl stay a long time if allowed to.

Was Mills the head Coach at Berea a few years back? If so he did a good Job. Would probally stay at Powell Co. for a while.

Any updates? Has PC started interviewing or are they still in the application stage?

Plenty of rumors flying around, but nothing concrete.

Hope that they can find a good fit.

Do you think that he would be interested in taking the job?

He was the head coach at Berea a few years ago. Good guy, just has to learn to contain his emotions sometimes. I have never seen anyone who can ride an official for a longer period of time over a perceived blown call. He definitely loves the game and loves being around the kids.

Any update here?

Tony Burchett from Johnson Central is the man. He was hired about 2 weeks ago.

I've coached with Buggs. He is a great guy. He coached the oline at Lawrence Co with Chuke Williams when they were around the top rushing team in the state. He coached the Oline at JC while they turned things around there. Congrats to Powell Co + Buggs.
