Roenker is a solid #4 w/ Collinsworth at #3. I know that HC talks their players up ad naseum, but they are on the money w/ this kid.

No knock on him but he wouldn't get the job done they way Simpson, Quainoo, Roenker, Elliot have and will. I would honestly be willing to put Kelly, Klei, Pugh, and Oppenhiemer a head of him on the list, good back for the system and schedule.

Simpson, Quainoo, Collinsworth and Buckler, those are the four that first come to mind. I'm just basing my list on numbers, I think all four of those will out number Roenker. NCC has had some backs who put up some numbers, so Kelly could also be added to the list. If Collinsworth does indeed play RB, you have to admit Roenker would be no higher than fourth, so saying he's in the 6-10 range can't be too far of a stretch. Size wise he reminds me of Bishop from SK, a big strong runner.

 

I like your thinking except behind Buckler. As far as pure running back I have Andy over AS. I can see your comparision to Bishop. :thumb:

You obviously don't know the kid. He has gotten the job done for his team the last two years and I would expect him to continue to get the job done for the tigers this year.

Agreed. All he has done during his time at Bellevue is put up solid numbers yet people still knock him year in and year out. One word fits this guy. Heart.

There was no knock intended. But to think that he could do what Simpson, Qaiunoo, Elliot, or Roenker can is just wrong. He just physically isn't as good as them. No one ever questioned his heart and stats, certainly not I. But there becomes a point when the scedules and obvious physical differences need to be pointed out, like in a thread like this. :thumb:

Your best guess would be Joe Colosimo with Cory Crane getting some touches.

 

Colosimo if he stays healthy / concussion free and gets durable will likely be the feature but IF Crane can get/stay healthy he will be carrying the ball alot.

 

IMO, their best running back is Rigdon, their QB. He's fast, strong and durable plus he's a returning starter. From watching the televised games against Cov. Cath. and the State Championship game against Hazard, Rigdon made key rushes that won those games and ultimately another state championship. If he didn't have to play QB, I would add him to the list of top 10 RBs.

Not so sure I'd consider the Ryle QB "fast." I doubt he'll rush all that much with backs like Eubanks and Elliott to run the ball. I think they'll split rushes pretty equally, and perhaps Eubanks will even get more carries given that Elliott may play some LB. Eubanks is an outstanding back and quality team player. A lot to like about this kid.

Good points. From what I hear from a co-worker close to the family of the QB, he has been working hard in the off season and from what's being said about Elliott he should go both ways and not come off the field very much unless the game is one sided. That being said, Eubanks will be on the field getting his touches too. Ryle should be tough.

Very interesting, I doubt there are many who will agree but sounds like Elliott will be a big time back for the Raiders for the next few seasons.

Eubanks is an outstanding team player as is Elliot!But IMO it takes a very special athlete to start for a 6a school as a freshman and Elliot is a special player.

With Elliot's physical development and talent, I would expect his carrys to greatly increase! Not only is Elliot one of the strongest backs in the area but also one of the fastest!Being ranked nationally along with his older brother as AAU youth sprinters a few years back.

Actually after talking to his uncle,Travis at 15 is faster than Cody his older brother at the same age.(15) Cody ran a ligit 4.4 40 as a Sr. (and we all knew how he ran)
