Volquez pitched a FULL year last year. You can't see him much more than that.

 

Arroyo has 4 years of 10 + wins and is on pace for one more this year. His curveball is well above average..

 

And Cueto has all the tools to be a stud once he gets it. He is only, 24?

 

Oh and lets not forget the young arms in are farm system, which is stacked.

 

He won't forget them...the Yankees will end up buying the good ones.

I love how folks keep mentioning the the empty seats at Yankee Stadium. The Yanks would love to sell more of the high dollar seats, but they haven't been hurting.

Your fanship of the Yankees is ridiculous. If you want to talk pitching, the Reds team ERA is 4.02 (10th best) and the Yankees is 5.84 (26th best). The Reds have given up 15 HRs (13th best) and the Yankees have given up 22 HRs (26th best).

I believe it was Accuweather who did a report stating that in early April and late in the year I believe.. Wind patterns can affect the long ball, but for the majority of the summer they weren't concerned.

Maybe it isn't the new Yankee Stadium. Maybe its just the Yankees pitching staff--they've allowed 21 runs and 5 homeruns to the Red Sox in the first two games of their series at Fenway.

I think it's a little crazy to try to compare the Reds+Yanks ERA's. They haven't played the same opponents or even in the same ballparks. Apples to Oranges IMO.

To me this isn't the best Yankees team they've had in awhile but taking ARod away is like taking Pujols from the Cards, Hanley from the Marlins, Wright from the Mets etc. He is one of the best in the league bar none.

CC has been a letdown thus far but it's still early. Burnette has been better than expected. Wang is overrated and I really think the Yanks would be tough to beat if they made Joba the set up man for Rivera. You get through the 1st half of the game and it's going to be tough to win if you are not up IMO.

I'm a Red Sox fan--I'm sure their staff will be right there. So you're going to go ahead and go on record that the Yankees will beat out the Red Sox and Rays to make the playoffs this year?

Don't forget that the Jays are absolutely on fire to start off the season. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in it all year long in the AL East.
