Yankee Stadium

He's saying that the Yankees pitching staff is ranked 28 out of 30 teams. His favorite team, the Reds is ranked 19th out of 30 teams. Therefore it has been much better than the Yankees staff. :thumb:

Thanks for clearing that up..

That the Reds pitching staff has better numbers than the Yankees.

I still would take the Yankees Staff over the Reds...

Harang- shows no emotion or care for the game

Volquez- good pitcher but once the league sees him a couple of times he will get hit around because the lack of a good solid off-speed

Cueto- Very Very streaky

Arroyo- cares more about guitar, has a terrible hanging curve no good speed

Owings- should be an outfielder or DH because of hitting strength lacking the pitching aspect

Harang? Are you serious.. 3 straight years of 200+ innings pitched, but doesn't care for the game.

Volquez pitched a FULL year last year. You can't see him much more than that.

Arroyo has 4 years of 10 + wins and is on pace for one more this year. His curveball is well above average..

And Cueto has all the tools to be a stud once he gets it. He is only, 24?

Oh and lets not forget the young arms in are farm system, which is stacked.

Harang - is a stud work horse when healthy... ERA under 2.00 this year so far.

Volquez - his best pitch if his off speed pitch (Change up)

Cueto- You got that one right

Arroyo - 3-0 which is more than what 3 of your guys combined? His career numbers speak for themself.

Owings - Jury is still out

Just to clear this up I'm a Red Sox fan but you should learn your pitchers better before giving a scouting report.

Harang is a bulldog who is among the toughest people in the league. Doesn't care? He was in the top 5 in the league in wins and innings pitched 2 seasons in a row and would have been last season if not for Dusty's misadventure in San Diego that left him with a dead arm. Even then he didn't blame anyone and tried to gut it out before being shut down.

Volquez has already been around the league more than twice and has electric stuff. He's a Cy Young candidate right now.

Cueto is streak but he's only 23 and also has Cy Young stuff. He shut down one of the best teams in the National League tonight.

Arroyo? He's won 62 games over the last 5 years. Since you're a Yankee fan you should remember him from that 2004 ALCS.

Owings, he's a fifth starter. He hasn't been great but he does have an ERA below 30--unlike the Yankees #5 man Wang.

Back to the thread ARod might hit 40-50 HR's even after missing so much time! I will be curious to see if they do anything in the offseason for the horrible seats that you can't see the whole field in. I'm really thinking about trying to get a few friends together and catch a train to head up a couple of days to see the new Mets+Yanks stadiums. I've got a friend from here that models for Vogue etc and she said the train up there is a blast if you have a few friends to hang with.

Yeah but which staff is always at the end of the year battling in the play-offs?

Could there any correlation between empty seats and HR distance? :D

It's a new year.. :ylsuper:

The Rays and the Red Sox, right? You must be talking about the Rays and the Red Sox. Yankees didn't make the playoffs did they? I'm not sure but I think the Rays and Red Sox played in the ALCS. :ohbrother:

My point is that the Yankees are always within reach or are battling in the play-offs year after year after year.... have seen the reds there in a very long time.:idunno:

I love how folks keep mentioning the the empty seats at Yankee Stadium. The Yanks would love to sell more of the high dollar seats, but they haven't been hurting.

Here are the facts, since this thread has been hijacked already anyway.

Very Long time? 2006 the Reds were in the mix up until the last couple weeks of the season.
