I doubt if there is a faster OF in NKY than Boone's.

 

Only faster will be Bluegrass Cheifs summer ball...Lokesak, Hyde, Cotton..they have other good hitting of's, but I don't know their 60 times.

Both of these teams are very good team and the same valuable lesson can be learned by both teams from this game. "On any given day a team can be beat". Thats why we play the games.

 

 

BTW TOG I really enjoy your post of the games. I think when you don't post right away people are disappointed and anxiously await your return to the board to post your thoughts and stats. I know I personally follow most teams through your post when CCHS plays them. You always tell the good and bad of both teams. You can't help it if your team is usually the one with the most good. Keep posting I enjoy reading them.:thumb:

I'm a fan of both Farris and Maile. If we are talking about catching I'd have to go with Maile. If your going to the outfield I would go with Cory. Talk about their bats, I wouldn't want to live between the difference. BTW, does anyone know how Cory is doing at UK so far this year?

 

 

Go to UKATHLETICS.COM and you can follow game by game. He started out hot the first weekend but lately has been receiving little playing time. I'm sure he will adjust and be just fine. I believe UK had a top five recruiting class as well.

Where is Lokesak going to school? Have I missed that somewhere?

Appears to be undecided at this point per a previous post. He will have opporturnity to play at the next level and could possibly be at the D1 level. You can't teach speed and he is a burner plus power to go along with it.

Daniel is an excellent athlete and should be playing somewhere at the next level in either football or baseball!But 6.5 is a bit of a much!

 

So you are question the validity of the previous post? I would think that the source is about as good as it gets.

Thanks for info on Cory. Someone else had told me that Cory wasn't getting much playing time as of late but I wasn't sure what I heard was from a sloid source. Since he is a freshman I'm sure he will have to wait his turn like most college freshman. With his outstanding tools I'm sure we will be hearing a lot of good things in the the not to distant future.

His 40 time recorded by NIKE is 4.77 recorded at Boone County High school and posted on the SPARQ web site.A 4.77 is a long way from a 4.5 and a kid that runs a 6.5 60 will usually run a 4.4 to 4.45 40.

Lokesak is fast but not what is considered a burner and probably does have the speed to play in a DI outfield.I really like the way this kids plays but a 6.5 60 is a bit much as I said.

I don't know this kid, but a 4.77 is pretty average

A 4.77 is not close to average and Lokesak is the fastest in Northern Kentucky in my book.Would love to see him as a POY kid.

But this is a baseball thread, not a track thread. Sure Cotton and Lokesak would win a track meet, won't argue with you on that, but Isler will be going to College at either UC, X, EKU, WKU, or Murray State it his choice at the moment. Maile has already signed with UK and there are those who don't think he will play a inning for UK.

 

Now I understand Cotton is a Junior, but the Senior Lokesak where is he going to school at and by this time last year the mail man was getting tired of carrying all the letters from universities across the Country to Luke home. So tell us where are these pure young athletics going to go to D1 school at!

 

BTW my doctor and my wife hate when my blood pressure jumps up, as I have already been on that operating table with the doctor playing with my heart! Six years ago May 11th 2003. :sssh:

Daniel Lokesak's Nike time was taken last summer. You are correct about the time. However, what this time (and this is not the only time Lokesak was timed) does not tell you is.. on this day it was raining and all the boys were timed on the wet grass. From what I remember he was also in Tennis shoes? They only ran one time! I'm sure you would agree there are OTHER times than just Nike! At this point his times are out to the schools that are important including many D-1 schools who are not disputing his speed. We wish him the best as he is deciding on the best college fit for him academically and where he can get some playing time.

I wish Daniel the best and am a big fan, I know he has athletic bloodlines in his pedigree as I believe his father was a great athlete also. Best wishes to the Lokesak family and on his college choice.

I talked to Lokesak's father, the times presented are accurate.

 

On Daniel Lokesak, I have not seen him play baseball but I was extremely impressed with him as a football player. Daniel is a very skilled athlete.

 

Since we are off course this is a good ending point.
