Bellevue 2009/2010

Featured Replies

Just to let everybody know Runyan Bellevues AD this year has resigned and will not be the AD next year... The new AD is going to be Nick Wilson...

How will this impact the coaching search? Does Bellevue wait until the new Nick Wilson takes over to hire?

Wasn't it written a few weeks ago that interviews were already underway?

:confused:Good thing Bellevue waited the 30 days after posting the job to let t hat cat out of the bag.................

I believe Nick will be there third AD in the past 18 months. Runyon became the AD in June of last year. 3 ADs and a plethora of coaches in the past seven years.

Does anyone know how Bob Runyan did this year as an AD? My friends that live in Bellevue said he did a great job this year and that the previous AD had left him a mess to clean up.

From what I have heard and seen, Mr. Runyan has done a great job. The athletic department will end the year in the black. He has helped the teams raise money and he has followed state and district policies. He has been a breath of fresh air to the community. It has been a real change from the previous few years. I wish the district could keep him in that spot. However, if it is Mr. Wilson, I am sure he will continue the positive progress.

Mess absolutely..... Runyan did fix it and is being rewarded by the district by being screwed over. Nice job administration!!!!!!!!

Explain please. I have not heard that. What administration are you speaking of? The school principal has publically said very positive things about Mr. Runyan.

Bob Runyan was the technology coordinator and AD. Does a great job and and because of certain issues within the administration which I will not post he was bumped back to the classroom along with the salary difference that comes along with it. This is typical of how things go in Bellevue. Take care of the buddies and unfortunately those that are in the way get bumped. And I am not speaking of the principal. he has no control over these types of decisions........

So what is the status of the search for a Basketball Coach?

I say start posting Help Wanted signs around Bellevue for the job. People does it matter they cant win anyway and I not making fun they cant beat to many teams , Its not like they are going to Rupp anytime soon . I think they do put about 50 people in the stands .

Dude you and I rarely agree but goldandblack that is not a fair post to the players that work hard on that team. Now I agree with the poor crowds the past several years but the players are still playing hard.

If you win. They will come. Also keep in mind taht enrollment has dropped considerably in the past decade. If 20% of the student body comes to the games, and the student body drops by 30%. Do the math.

That is a major issue at Bellevue (and Newport) for that matter. The drop in enrollment is concerning.
