Most everything is complete in regards to schedule from all that I hear. There may be a few changes, but this is what I have heard will be their non-conference games...

Other than the fact that not a lot of Dogs fans will be able to travel with them that's a nice schedule from a basketball perspective.

It was reported this week that Steve Woodward, the founder of the Marshall County Hoopfest, is no longer associated with the event. It appears that Marshall's administration decided that they will attempt to run the event themselves.

 

I don't know whether or not this jeopardizes Holmes' scheduled appearance at the Hoop Fest. I hope not. Holmes will be one of the state's best teams, and given David Henley's ties to the area, a lot of fans in western Kentucky would like to get the chance to see them play.

Exactly. A lot of people are wondering whether anyone at Marshall can develop the contacts that Woodward established to pull it off. And I know some that feel like Marshall sort of strong-armed things to get the event for themselves.

This seems like a stereo-type. Could you elaborate what you meant.

It appears Holmes is really strengthening up their schedule. It would be nice thought to see them playing Clark Co, Scott Co, or some of the powerhouse in Louisville (which they might playing in the KOB). Thats also a 2-way street as far as scheduling goes.
