April 1, 200917 yr Now that the deal is done (hopefully), how about giving Mitch some credit too? He has hit a Grand Slam for the Big Blue Nation. Thanks! Mitch
April 1, 200917 yr It certainly helps the cause when you have that much green to throw around. Still, it's a great hire. He deserves credit for that.
April 1, 200917 yr Mitch, you put it WAY over the green monster in center field. Thank you for starting our return to relevance!
April 1, 200917 yr Agree if he had not been able to do something like this and had to settle for Ford and it not worked out he would have been fired first then the after a new AD next time. But he came through in the we the Big Blue Nation need him. Glad we do not have to start the campaign or have Wireman make up shirts saying "Ditch Mitch":thumb:
April 1, 200917 yr It would be fun to offer $30 million dollars to anyone and you weren't responsible for paying for it. Mitch hit a walk off grand slam.

April 1, 200917 yr Mitch was down 0-2 in the count with many in the Big Blue Nation, ... but finished off with a shot over the centerfield fence. Good job Mitch. And it wasn't just about the money, .. Memphis matched UK's offer and then some. I am still a little leery, (after all Izzo was my first choice), .. but I really think this could turn out to be a great hire in the long run.
April 1, 200917 yr I've always supported him. He has done a very good job considering the pressure he's been under. In 2002 when he arrived, he probably figured the bb program was in very good shape. He had to work on the other sports, and boy has he ever. Football and Baseball have reached limits I wasn't so sure were reachable, not to mention some of the other sports. And today he hit a grand slam for sure, congrats MB.
April 1, 200917 yr No matter the outcome, he hit a grand slam. He got the best coach available and delivered the fans what they want!
April 1, 200917 yr Now that the deal is done (hopefully), how about giving Mitch some credit too? He has hit a Grand Slam for the Big Blue Nation. Thanks! Mitch Yeah, he deserves all of the credit. How about some love for Todd and Pratt.:thumb:
April 1, 200917 yr It would be fun to offer $30 million dollars to anyone and you weren't responsible for paying for it. I didn't think that Mitch was a Democrat; but when you put it that way, perhaps he is....
