If everyone had Spring Football on the same dates, I think it would upset the baseball folks more then the basketball folks. Say everyone have two weeks of Spring Football that starts on April 1, or the first Monday in April. That would make more since to me.

:thumb:That's the way it should be, then maybe the high schools could have college coachs come watch their spring game. Right now college coachs can't come because the NCAA only lets them vist high school in mid April though mid may.

Greenup will start tomorrow, with a late start waiver from KHSAA due to our coach just getting to the school.

But I think it's only fair that we do what we can to make Spring football as non-intrusive on the baseball season as possible. With most of the basketball teams eliminated now, let's get Spring football started and over with before the baseball weather turns real nice. The baseball season is short enough as it is. If the weather affects some Spring football practices, so be it. Some Spring football in bad weather beats no Spring football at all.

Maybe they should look into "messing" with springball considering Trinity's recent success during the playoff's.:scared:

 

So many athletes play baseball and run track would be logistical nightmare. QB also plays tennis. Trinity doesn't have it either. X will go more when school is out like the passing league stuff. They also have indoor and outdoor winter conditioning drills jan -mar. They do plenty.

Louisville Holy Cross starts today . They also will be headed up by a new Head Coach : Mike Fletcher . I think he runs the 'veer' offense . Should be very interesting .....

Greenup's start has been postponed until next Monday, March 16. (This should be the last two weeks of our three week extended window.) They are in the weightroom now.

Are you saying that your baseball players attend Spring Football practices? Does that only happen in Ft Thomas or do other schools implement that as well? Obviously, our school sports do not cooperate with each other near that well!

In Greenup, baseball players do not attend spring football. This year, we do not have any returning players that play Baseball. Although, I have heard some baseball players might be interested in playing after their season concludes. (This may just be rumor!!)
