MrsFairFan Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Anyone have one? I am new to this. I bought an Ipod Shuffle. Its so tiny and cute. Its perfect for me. Now that I will be working out, I needed something to help out. I have been cleaning and taking it everywhere with me. I love it.
bluegrass Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I got my first Ipod last summer. I always snatched my daughter's when I would walk. She left for college, so I took the plunge and got my own. Took me a bit of time to figure out how to stock my library and then download to the Ipod, but I did it! I have never put pictures on there - perhaps one day! Enjoy your new toy!! :-)
True blue (and gold) Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I need to get into the Ipod groove. What are the recommendations for beginners in let's say...their mid 30's?

Habib Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I need to get into the Ipod groove. What are the recommendations for beginners in let's say...their mid 30's? Depends on how much music you have and when you want to use it. I have a ton of music and like to have access to it all the time, so I have to have one with larger storage. I've heard good things about other mp3 players as well.
Blue Magic Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I just bought a 120 GB Classic Friday night. I cannot figure out how to put videos onto it though. Can anyone offer any help?
statmanhensley Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I just bought a 120 GB Classic Friday night. I cannot figure out how to put videos onto it though. Can anyone offer any help? There are just a few video file formats that will show up on iTunes. I have found that .avi and .mp4 files are what works the ebst for me with .mp4 being the best. Mine usually show up in the "Movies" tab on iTunes even if they are not movies. (I have stripped a few music videos off YouTube and have them on my 16 GB iPod Touch 2nd Gen. and my 32 GB iPod Video 5th Gen.)

Or how to I convert my videos to those formats?
ScarHeel Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 My g/f got me a green 8GB I-Pod Shuffle for V-Day. Love it.
statmanhensley Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Where do I get videos in that format? Or how to I convert my videos to those formats? You can convert them with http://www.mediaconverter.org That is the site I use for all of my converting. They used to have a downloadable program that I have on my computer but I think they've gone away from it. I do know that they limit you to a total of 5 conversions per day so you have to be sure that you convert them properly the first time or two or you'll have to wait an entire extra day. Oh and there is a file size limit that they'll convert....not sure what it is though.

Its a 1gb shuffle. ( that holds about 240 songs) Its about the size of a half dollar and it has a clip on the back so you can put it any where. I am not into all the extras so this one is perfect for me. I paid $50.
threetimelover Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I have a 16gb nano, but one of my daughters has the shuffle. It is very cute but pretty durable. Hers has been dropped numerous times and it is still going strong. The only bad thing about the shuffle is it is so small it can be easily misplaced. Hers once disappeared between my car's seats for a month or so!

I Keep it in my purse so hopefully it stays there.
Dlbdonn Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I've got a nano my wife has a nano and my son has an Ipod touch . Now those are awesome.
ScarHeel Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I'm the kind of person who has to see the song title and artist, so I had to get the Shuffle or nothing.
