Birdsfan Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 The weather channel said tonight that lights were seen and sonic booms heard in Louisville last night, as debris from a recent satellite collision rained down across the central part of the country. They said people there and elsewhere could expect more such events over the next several days.

rockmom Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 What happened to getting a vaccum and sweeping all that debris up? Wasnt that in the Stimulus package? LOL No...GWB tried to get that in the war spending, but they decided to try and vacuum all the sand out of Iraq instead of the cosmic debris.

LOL Actually, one of my astronomy students suggested taking the space shuttle up with a rather large "fish net" type device and retrieving all of the debris...less costly than a vacuum!
