ScarHeel Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 UNC goes into Cameron and lays the smack down...Best team in the country when they decide to play a little D...Hansbrough inches closer to Redick's record. :dancingpa Last time Duke gave up 100 was in '05. UNC has now won 4 in a row at Duke
Cameraman Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I think ESPN viewers saw the #1 and #2 teams in the nation this year (UConn and UNC). Good win UNC! :thumb:
PutMeInCoach Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 How was that elbow not intentional. He had to strain himself reaching back that far in order to land it.
RockPride Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 UNC played great in the second half.....with both of the teams on the court tonight....if they play two halves like they played their best (1st for Duke, 2nd for UNC), they will beat everyone. It does seem more likely for UNC, but even in a loss, i think this game can propel Duke to some great things this year.

You have to be kidding me.....people were slipping and sliding all over the court tonight, the ball was slipping through hands.....it is CLEARLY obvious his hand slipped off the ball....

They aren't on the same level as UNC or UCONN.
RockPride Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I agree that Carolina and UConn seem to be the top two teams in the nation, however tonight showed me that Duke "can" beat any team.....I like to see that in February.
RockPride Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Duke played well when they hit about 10 straight shots. They aren't on the same level as UNC or UCONN. They can PLAY on that level......that's all I need to see at this point.

Yeah. It was obvious that he was trying to land a blow to his jaw..
PutMeInCoach Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 They can PLAY on that level......that's all I need to see at this point. But can they for a full 40 minutes?
RockPride Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 ^ We'll agree to disagree, it's not important.
Original Rookie Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 They can PLAY on that level......that's all I need to see at this point. A lot of teams CAN play at that level. UNC took Duke's best shot in the first half and came out and DOMINATED Duke on the road in the second half. I think this game (and the last few) proved that Duke doesn't have enough to win it this year.
RockPride Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 But can they for a full 40 minutes? They have before, against lesser teams....They really only have to do it against UConn and UNC, IMO.....there aren't two other teams in the country, that Duke would have to be lights out against for 40 minutes.
Chosen_One Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Just felt like a dominating performance by the Heels. Big win for them.
