Ryle 59 Beechwood 52

Featured Replies

Raiders hand Beechwood only their 4th lost of the season.

This is a good win for Ryle heading into the post season. They have been up and down a lot this season, but I would say they still have a chance at making a run in the postseason.

Ryle is still a dark horse IMO but they need to start using their size to their advantage if they want to make a serious post season run. Good win for the Raiders though.

What happened to Romes did he really go without a field goal?

Romes did not have a good night. No FG's and 2 for 8 from the line. He is a very good player though and I am sure he will get it going.

Good job Ryle :thumb:

Seems like the big men for Ryle really handeled Smith. He didn't have a single point. Great win for Ryle.

I wouldn't necessarily say they "handled" him. I wasn't at the game but Nichols only had 3 points and Russell had 8. They combined for 11 points. Considering Smith is the only big man B'wood has, that's not bad at all considering the physicality of both Nichols and Russell.

Ryle (14-8) - Ahern 4 3 14, McLeish 4 3 11, Russell 3 2 8, Coleman 6 0 15, Stauffer 1 6 8, Nichols 1 1 3. Totals: 19 15 59.

Beechwood (16-4) - Beuttel 7 7 26, Pohlgeers 1 0 2, Snyder 3 0 7, Romes 0 2 2, Smith 3 0 6, Hall 3 0 9. Totals: 17 9 52.

3-pointers - R 6 (Ahern 3, Coleman 3), B 9 (Beuttel 5, Snyder, Hall 3).

Nice win for the raiders.

Did Ryle play zone defense?
