Someone posted the numbers a while back. I believe King Kelly Coleman is still a few hundred points away.

 

 

King Kelly, was from the 15th region.. If you are talking statewide he would most definitely be in the mix

Wow 48 points a game!! I have heard of him but what years did he play and for what high school team?

King Kelley Coleman at 48 points per game. He has about every scoring record or is at least in the top 5. They didn't call him the King for nothing, and to think he didn't play at West Virginia because Kentucky made them investigate gifts that were given to him. Back them the cats didn't take no prisoners; we need to get back to that way.

The Wayland Wasps back in the 50's. Adolf Rupp said that he was the greatest high school basketball player to ever play and I think that is how he got the nickname the King but I am not forsure on that.

How good was the team he was on? Was they a state contender or just a one horse show? But putting up them kind of numbers, they might have only needed that one horse!!

They made it to the final four and were beat by eventual champion Carr Creek....If my memory is correct, they split games in regular season games. He had some descent players to help him...

What makes Ferg's numbers ever more impressive is that he has played with 3 other players that average over 15 points a game. I bet he is the only player on the all-time scoring that can say that.
