Do all Camp Ernst students go to Cooper for high school?

I'd imagine either there or Ryle.

Do all Camp Ernst students go to Cooper for high school?

Camp Ernst is really near Oakbrook but all the kids in Oakbrook are suppose to go to Boone HS. Now is the Boone County Board of Education sending the Oakbrook kids all the way over to Ockerman instead of Camp Ernst I really don't know as we are out of the grade, middle even HS loop anymore. The many young couples kids on the street, aren't even in first grade yet.

I will ask around Monday....

I would say 90% plus will go to Cooper. There are a few in the OakBrook subdivision that will go to Boone. I imagine a few to Ryle or Conner but I don't know of any off hand. The athletes that I was referring to I know are going to Cooper. Coach Sullivan was at the championship game, which was good to see the support. A few of these kids play baseball as well but I think their main sports are football and basketball.

This is surprising because Holy Cross played Holmes and lost to them in the regional even after playing a very good game, but in regular season Holy Cross beat Boone by almost 20 points. Congrats to Boone for winning.

My dad went to both of these games and said they were two awesome games to watch. Congrats to my old school, its always good for the future.

Not sure what happened at the Boone / HC JV game but Boone JV beat Holmes JV twice last week - regular season game Monday and then Saturday night in the JV championship. Just goes to show you teams sometimes just have an off night or on night or both, whichever way you want to look at the HC game.

The varsity game starts at 3:30 so there will not be a conflict.

That was McClendon. He is only an 8th grader. He and Slusher (22) were definitely the key players for Holmes. McClendon hit one three that was a step beyond the NBA three point distance. On the Boone County side, Travis Montgomery played the entire game and was the key to victory. Thaman (?) hit 5 threes for Boone and Trevan Brown got some big points inside, as well as sinking the 2 free throws at the 7 second mark to seal the victory.

Does Oppenheimer still play ball for Boone. I know he was playing on freshman team last year in their Freshman tournament win? Was a big contributor in that tournament last year.

Yes, Oppenheimer was a starter and significant player on the Boone JV team. The starting 5 for the title game was Montgomery, McQueary, Oppenheimer, Brown and a shorter guard whose name I can't recall (Lickert or something like that, I know he is a junior). Thaman was first man off the bench and may have been the leading scorer with at least 5 threes.

How many on the JV are juniors?

Your exactly right. This is how the 9th region varsity basketball season is going as well, with the exception of Holmes.

Do they do anything like an all tournament team for the JV?

Krickmer. Thaman is also a junior. He can light it up sometimes if left open.

3. Boone has 9 juniors between Varsity and JV combined. Not sure how many of them you can keep on varsity next year. Boone only loses 3 seniors next year, and they have several good sophomores and some good freshmen moving up (probably more than 3). Boone will need to replace some size it will be losing in McFarland's graduation. He will be difficult to replace.
