February 7, 200917 yr Going to ask a question, regarding the use of steroids. I work with a gentlemen, who had some eye problems/related disease. He indicated steroids were prescribed to help his sight and speed the healing process. Does this sound right and is there a difference, in the types of steroids for muscle building and eyesight. Steroids are commonly used for healing and to reduce swelling. I took prednisone back in the fall to help get over a flare-up of a recurring arthritic condition. I think it's really just a question of the size of the dose as far as how it's used for building muscle density. But there are different kinds.

But if you're already pretty good at hitting a curve or a 95 mph heater, steroids can definitely make the ball go further when you do hit it, helping turn what ordinarily would have been a 300-foot routine pop fly into a 350-foot blast. Not picking on you in particular, because this is a common cop-out phrase people use to help excuse the guys from cheating. I understand where you are coming from. I am not a Bonds fan but am still amazed at his ability to see so many walks, bad pitches etc then the one they throw over he jacks out time after time. That is a gift IMO and I don't really care much for him.

February 7, 200917 yr Why is that? You know he isn't juicing? He has been hitting .300 and 30 HR's every year of his career. He wasn't some little guy either when he came in. Until a report comes out with Albert Pujols on it I think he is the best player in baseball by far.
February 7, 200917 yr Looking at his numbers from 03 to 04 to 05 you can see just how this could be possible. After 03 he obviously had to stop and his nmbers would definltey support that he was getting a little boost from somewhere as his numbers in BA,HR, and RBIS all slipped, ALOT.
