February 4, 200917 yr Big Ben is a really good QB, but I think there is 6 or 7 QBs that if given the steelers team, they would be just as successful. Maybe even a few more Qbs than that. I would tend to disagree. With a weak OL and often no running game, Big Ben had the skill set needed for this team to succeed. Im not saying that if he was at Cinci for example, he would have better numbers than Carson. But if I could choose any healthy quarterback going into the superbowl with this team. It would have been Ben. If you dont believe me look at the If you could have any qb thread at the bottom of this forum.

I just still believe that the Steelers would be just as good with the following QBs: Manning Brady Warner Brees McNabb Rivers Eli Manning Possibly Palmer and Romo, but not likely. Like I said I am not taking anything away from Big Ben. The last drive was unreal and the last play will be one of the most memorable in Super Bowl history, but I still feel that the Steelers would be just as good, if not better, with the Qbs above.

February 4, 200917 yr Please tell me you're not comparing Arizona's pass rush to the 85 Bears? :lol: Not at all! Its just an analogy on the weakness of our OL. On third and long, it must have looked to Ben as the 85 Bears were coming after him, whoever they were playing.

Yeah I could agree with that, Ben makes the plays when it matters. But I would take my chances with Peyton and Brees as well.

Big Ben- Here simply because he wins. The most important stat win looking at QB's. 5. on any given game a. Tony Romo- Talented, arrogant, any other discription. Little too much of a want to be Namath for me though b. Jay Cutler- Most talented passer in the league. Has to improve decision making skills though. Also, a minimum of an average defense would help his win total. c. Philip Rivers- A less talented, bigger crier than Romo. Still, he gets results. d. Kurt Warner- even at age 100 he still delivers. Palmer and McNabb are big N.O's for me though. They both just kinda throw people under the bus, and I think they are very overrated. McNabb is the least accurate passer of the starting QB's in the NFL. His passes are almost never on the money. I think the scheme benefits him, plus having Westbrook as a safety valve. Also, I think Carson Palmer has been lucky to play with one of the best recieving corps in the NFL over his career.
