Most Underrated Teams....

Exactly, they really aren't surprising either, very easy schedule, great start in conference play and they face a tough challenge and crumble

Yea this is the first tough challenge they've faced in conference play

Funny, you are being fairly critical in several threads about them tonight. Couldn't have anything to do with the loss tonight?

No...I have been critical of them on air, in person, and on this forum, it's just more noticeable when they lose.

More frequent when they lose.

You have a show too?

More frequent when they lose.

Well that is true....it seems to be much more fun that way...just like it could be tonight if the "unthinkable" happens...

It's natural for people to be critical of a team when they lose. They fared very well against some pretty bad teams in the SEC early on, Vanderbilt, Alabama and Tennessee are not good teams IMO. Do not tell me that those are tough teams to play, if UK deserves the build up some UK fans give them after "tough" wins or a big winning streak against the likes of Delaware State, App State, Longwood, Lamar and Florida Atlantic; they should deliver against Ole Miss, who is a team that has some wins like: New Orleans-and not the Hornets, South Alabama, and Morgan State. I am a UK fan, but this team has a lot of holes in it. We have two players and really nothing else, Porter is not a true point, Liggins and Miller are going through growing pains, Harris is not an offensive player, and Stevenson is our third option. Patterson and Meeks are having outstanding seasons, but it takes five to win a basketball game at the minimum, and usually 9 or 10 to win a Conference or National title. Our problem is, we need to find 3-10.

If at Tennessee isn't a tough game, then there aren't ANY in the SEC.

I don't know the statistic right off the top of my head, but Tennessee has given up like 6 career highs to different players this year. They have embarrasing losses to Temple and their non-conference home winning streak was snapped by Gonzaga, who some of you contend is not a top 15 worthy team. Yes, Bruce Pearl has established that Tennessee is a place you don't just come into anymore and get a guaranteed W; but they lost a lot in Ramar Smith, Lofton and JuJuan Smith, but they are not a very good team this year. The SEC is down this year, you have to contend that and UK was clearly better than the rest, but after last night it is wide open and it's not as big of a lock for UK to win like some have said-even me.

Really, there aren't many tough games in the SEC. UF isn't what they were in their title years, Tennessee is really down, and then who else is good? Arkansas? The SEC is a terrible conference. TERRIBLE!!! UK is the top team in the conference, and they would be looked at as overachieving if they went to the sweet 16. Say what you will about the Pac-10, but it is better. How could it be worse? UCLA has become a perinnial final four team, does the SEC have claim to that? No. I would even say that the Big 10 is better. They don't have any title contenders either, but i'd take thier top 3 or 4 over the SEC's top 3 or 4 right now. Of course the ACC or Big East are better but who would debate that?

Tennessee is probably the toughest road game in the SEC for the Cats, but UT has been overrated all season. They simply lost too much, and the players they have brought in don't really match the 3 point banaza that Pearl's teams have enjoyed in the last few years.

I'm as big of a UK fan as anyone, but I like to remain realistic. If you think UK should have been ranked higher or should be ranked higher, maybe they should have beaten Miami, or U of L when the had the chance. Or not gotten embarrassed by a UNC team minus Tyler Hansborough. Granted UNC is probably the most talented team in the country, but top 15 or 20 teams do not get absolutely smoked by a team without their best player.

UK, Duke, UNC, UCLA and a few others are like Notre Dame in football, they are known to be ranked higher than they should be, and thier fans alway are a little too biased when assessing them.

As a UK fan, I will say that UNC is the best team in the country. I think U of L could be a title contender by the end of the season if they hold it all together. As for most impressive give me Duke so far, followed by Wake. Those two have shown that they are ready to atleast compete with the Tar Heels for ACC supremacy.

^^ I haven't read either of the past two posts and don't understand why my post warranted such long responses.

BigSpikes, my original reply to you was because of the comment, "... they face a tough challenge and crumble." I only replied because I don't think you can consider @Ole Miss a tough challenge, but not @Tennessee. UK just got it handed to them last night, but let's not pretend like it is the first tough challenge they've had.

I'm Just long Winded, and I'm sorry but Tennessee is not good home, away, at Ellis T. Johnson Arena in Morehead or in the Garden. And people get mad when you say you criticize too much after a loss, well we beat UT on their floor, which you said was very difficult. But we lost at Ole Miss, who isn't going to make the tournament and not very good either IMO. Looks like it was tougher to win in Jackson than in Knoxville.

Hmm, where did I say that?

It was tougher to win for us at Ole Miss, but ask any team around the country where they would rather play and I'm sure they would say Ole Miss.

I only shot a reply the first time because you made it seem like UK crumbled against their tough opponent, which is simply untrue.

Michigan State. A team that, IMO, could make a championship run, is not getting any publicity.
