Congratulations to Coach Matt Sharp and the entire Big Train staff!!!!! And Congratulations to all the players. You all deserve it! Hopefully this will be the start of a great late season run.

When was the last time Silver Grove beat Bellevue? When they had Pelle and Co?

 

It was the 06-07 year, it was C. Pelle, Weismen, and S. Pelle.

What has happened in tiger land. That coach was horrible at Beechwood, Walnut hills and any stop he has been at. How does one keep getting these jobs. NO ONE must have applied!

I'm pretty sure he won conference championships at Walnut Hills and Beechwood. That's pretty horrible. Leave your personal bias out of you posts and you won't look so bad.

BTW, what talent are you looking at in "Tiger Land" that leads you to believe that they should be any better than they are?

Mike Herald is a genuinely good man who has been in the basketball coaching business for a hundred years on both the boys and girls side of the ledger, on both sides of the river. I think he even had a stint at Aiken in there somewhere along with Walnut Hills in Ohio.

 

He is willing to step in and help programs out who are in need of a veteran coach. He was blessed with athletes at Beechwood who could put points on the board, and he pretty much stayed out of their way and let them play.

 

Perhaps he isn't as fortunate at Bellevue, where the previous head coach left to take over the girls program at Newport where they are 6-9. Great talent makes for good coaching and Mike has been on both sides of that fence. He will do his best without getting ulcers over it. Hopefully, the situation will improve at Bellevue and they can return to prominance at the Division III level.

Very true Mustang.......This year's version of the Tigers is well down compared to the last several years. Hopefully they can turn things around the rest of the way.

I'd say most every coach is "blessed" when they have talent. Other than that, I don't think you really know any of the situations well enough to comment as much as you did but I'll just say most of you "insight" is way off.
