I was kind of getting off topic in the Diamondback thread, so I figure I'd start a new one.

 

Anyone else enjoy a good rollercoaster? I found my love for them around 7th grade in 2000. I quickly became an enthusiast and practically studied them. At one point and time I actually wanted to become a rollercoaster engineer.

I'm about in the same prediciment. Except I'm almost to tall and my shoulders are almost to broad for the upper harness to come down. Even if they weren't I'm not sure they'd fit over my big belly. :lol: :lol::lol:

You know I actually fit better on Kings Islands rides. The only one I can't ride is Drop zone. I can't get the harness down past my shoulders. :cry:

I like the old wooden ones. My favorite was the Hurricane at Boadwalk and Baseball. Miss that place.

Me too... I've rode coasters all over the country.. Glad I won't have to travel far to ride a new one this summer...

Used to be a R.E.A. member. Best coaster I've ever been on is the Millennium Force at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. If you're a rollercoaster enthusiast there is no better place. They have 17 rollercoasters.

Agreed.. Cedar Point is my fav coaster park...

In my youth, I LOVED roller coasters. Last time I was on one, about 8 years ago, my neck hurt for a week. Sadly, I now just look at a roller coaster and have a flashback. I figured this was God's way of telling me my roller coaster days were over.:cry:

 

Kings Island in Cincinnati has a great selection of them. I havent been on the Son of Beast, but my kids love that one.

For anyone local wanting one of the best rollercoaster rides in the world... Check out the Beast at night!

 

While I agree the taller and faster the better... Wooden rollercoasters are by far my favorite.
