Hinkle hits a three pointer at the buzzer for the win. Gallatin had just tied the game with 5.9 seconds to go and Hinkle drove the length of the floor and threw up the three from about 24 feet. Henry and Owen in the final tomorow night. :puke:

First of all congrats to Henry Co. on the victory.

I would also like to give a salute to The Gallatin boys. Not many teams could have survived being outscored 18-2 in one quarter and being down 8 points with 2:30 to play to tie the game.

With 7 of their top 9 players back next season there's no reason they can't make a run at another title.

Sounded like a good game! I also would like to congratulate the boys on a good run. They will be back next year for the title. I guess I have to go to work tomorrow night now.

Great game to watch. Went back and forth all night. That's what high school basketball is all about. Congrats to Henry Co.. 32 minutes of all out basketball.

I'm a little curious as to why Henry Co wasn't lining anyone up to rebound when they were shooting foul shots very late in the game. It wasn't like they should have been confident that they were going to make the foul shot. I realize it's hard to get an offensive rebound on a foul shot but it does happen. Was the coach afraid they would foul? I heard alot of shouts from the Henry Co fans telling the boys to get in there and rebound. It all worked out for them in the end but I just didn't get it.

Players often go over the back, even if the coach tells them not to foul. Then you also have the worry if they will get back on defense, especially if its a taller, slower player. I think its often good strategy to have one, or sometimes no, players on the line at the end of the game. And yes, it may be arrogance, but I would anticpate the player hitting the FT, over taking the chance of something bad happening.

Thats the beauty of it. Different people have different takes on how to approach the situation.
