"Bonafide Change of Address" is OK but custody/guardianship is another matter.

Go ahead, spill it.

Seems odd, a student moves into the Raceland district and enrolls in Raceland schools, but Raceland "Took". I think if a student moves into the district Raceland has to take them.

And, I laugh as I ask, what should Raceland give?

And let's just say that student didn't move into the Raceland district yet still enrolled and played in varsity level games? What would their stance be then?

I don't understand your issue on this one... Give us more to go with and then maybe we can give you a stance.

If a student/parents want to enroll at Raceland, they can. If they are out of district, Raceland assures that the student is not a disaplinary problem and has good grades, then the student is allowed to enroll.

The student wants to attend Raceland, and Raceland will allow them. Where is the problem. Can't Greenup County or any other school do the same thing?

Go ahead, spill it.

You both know, so why spill . . .

Just tired of the hipocracy and going to bed

Athos, I'm just curious, what should a school district do if a student comes and wants to enroll? Should they say, "thanks, but why don't you go to one of our neighboring schools instead"? I mean really, if a student comes to the school and the parents want to enroll them there, what should they do? Schools are in the school business, without students there is no business.

You said that you removed your last post because you were tired of the hypocrisy, what hypocrisy? No one is telling your school to not take transfers, or to not let student/athletes come there. Raceland says, "Here is the Raceland School District, come if you want". Some come to Raceland, some do not, it is the student's/parent's choice. There is nothing unethical, illegal, immoral, or shady going on. It is out in the open, the doors are open to all to come if they choose. That is the way it always has been and the way it will likely always be.

Meanwhile, back in the thread about Coach Copley. I have heard nothing but excitement from players, parents and fans. Good selection by the powers that be. He runs the offense that the people want. Just give him time.

I know the issue and by all rights and the law he should (and if the KHSAA has any say so) be at Mason County.

I have to ask you this question, since you say this is a public forum and his transfer allows for it to be fair game. Where did you get your information to state so boldly about the law and how Greenup should fight it or by law, he should be at Mason County? It is funny to me, since I do know first hand the entire situation and why he will not be with his mother and why his dad moved into the Raceland school district.

Let's not discuss hypocrisy when you are speaking on atleast second hand information. Only I know the entire story besides the immediate family. And I am practically family. So, spare your unsubstantiated comments and your attempts to be legal counsel for Greenup BOE. Trust me, you are way off base.

Look, Im just going to throw this out there. "Who cares" , we have a new coach, there is about to be great things happening, I am tired of talking about transfers, if you want to leave then leave. I'm not begging anyone to stay. It is time for this community to step up and do everything possible for the new coach, because I can assure you he is going to go the extra mile every day.

Exactly Coupon, this is a very exciting time for Greenup County, and everyone should be getting behind the new coach and breath some new life into the program. I'm excited for Greenup County, and to state the obvious, I am not even a GC fan or parent. Everyone inside the program should be excited as well. Greenup is on it's way to brighter days.

Glad to hear Raceland has gotten some more bad apples. Rotten apples spread and ruins the entire basket. Congratulations Rams.

:laugh:That's the funniest thing I have read in a long time. 12-1, enough said.

Zimmer, you are cold hearted...
