Most people already thought that Scott seemed to be the #3 team already ahead of Campbell. Last nights game only confirmed that.

 

 

I am going to say it is 3a and 3b after last nights game with Scott having the upper hand ever so slightly. Brossart is still going to have a say in this before it is all said and done.

Where is the district tournament played this year? That could have an impact on things with these teams being so close.

Good game for Scott. They need to take care of bussiness friday agaisnt Brossart or last nights win basically means nothing. Good luck eagles!

A two point win on your home floor is simply holding serve. I wasn't at the game but I was told that Scott and Campbell seem very even and that Scott got out big early and Campbell fought back. From the comments in the predictions a lot of fans thought Scott was much better than Campbell. I like the 3a and 3b scenario much better than discounting Brossart and Campbell.

Campbell is a good team and nobody should be discounting them at all. I was at last nights game and if Scott would of hit their foul shots especially early in the game this could have been at least a 10 point victory. Scott started off the game 1 out of their first 8 from the foul line. Campbell will be there at the end and probably will be playing Scott in the district championship but like you said Brossart may have a say in this matter. Nikola needs to have more consistent scoring games for the Eagles last night 4 points from 1 of your leading scorers just won't cut it especially when district and possibly regional play roll around.

Scott could have blown this game open early and never looked back if they limit some of the careless turnovers and poor free throw shooting. Taking nothing away from Campbells heart in fighting back but this game shouldnt of been this close. Scott I think is the clear favorite in the district and is better than Campbell. Scott is deeper and has better guard play which is why they are better. I think if Keylo Jones plays last night this game is a blow out. With only two coming off the bench Coach Carr didnt have much to choose from when Ej and Daniel got into foul trouble. I think Niederegger played quality minutes last night. If him and Keylo play like they are capable of playing coming off the bench i see this team VERY VERY hard to beat!:thumb:

Each of you keep saying ... if Scott would have done this or Scott would have done this, the game wouldn't have been this close. If the Camels would have run any offense in the first quarter like they did in the 2nd quarter, they may have been on the other side of the scoreboard after 1 quarter of play. If they would have defended Scott's transition offense in the 1st like they did in the 2nd they would have been winning after 1. It's all speculation. In the end, it all balances out and the outcome pretty much gives you the big picture.

 

I don't think anyone can say that one of these teams is better than the other. Pretty evenly matched. 2 point victory by Scott only means that they beat Campbell last night by two points. If Jolly makes the shot at the buzzer would that have meant Campbell is clearly better than Scott? No.

 

If it had been a 20 point victory ... then I would believe that Scott is clearly better than the Camels.

 

Bottom line: I wouldn't want to play either of these teams come tournament time. (Nor would I want to play Brossart.) This district may see one of the best tournaments ever! It's a shame that one of the big three will not get to the region.

I agree with what you say about Nikola. I wouldn't expect Scott to contain Albrecht as well as they did if there is a second time around. Keylo is a great athlete but lets not get carried away about making them 10 points more better than Campbell. As for bench stats, Neiderigger hit a three and Wilson made a wide open lay-up. There bench didnt blow anyone away last night. Murray and Smith might be the best players, and O'Connor is one I can't figure out. You would think he could have exploited the paint last night.

Let's wait til after Friday's game between Scott and Brossart. If Scott wins they are the best in the district going into the tourney if Brossart wins then I will say the big 3 are equal going into the tourney. You are right about if ,ands and buts just ask a Tennessee fan they are saying if Jodie Meeks doesn't play last night then Tennessee wins by 30.

 

I think it is going to be a great district tourney. I have seen Calvary play this year and they seem to be more competitive than in the past.

I believe if these teams play 10 times. Each team would win 5 of those games. There pretty evenly matched. I'm not sure if a 2 point win is convincing enough to say Scott clearly the better team.

 

And as far as the comment about Keylo Jones, after seeing them play Moeller he is liability on offense because he make careless mistakes, and is lazy on defense from what I saw. I don't believe him playing would result in Scott blowing out Campbell. Just my opinion!

You might be right, but since Scott did edge Campbell they should get the nod over the camels in the polls.

I wouldn't take time to look back to how far they are ahead. They could end up behind.:flame:

I will say Campbell probably doesn't like having Scott in their district because the Eagles have kept the Camels out of the region 2 out of the last three years.
