I agree at this point Clark & Mason are at a tie. I haven't seen Montgomery play, but Scott is not better than Campbell at best they are equal, as well, no way Harrison is better than Brossart.

 

My take:

 

1 GRC/Mason

3 Montgomery

4 Scott/Campbell

6 Brossart

7 Harrison

8 Deming

 

If you haven't seen Montgomery play then why do you have them ahead of both Scott and Campbell? I believe their record is around .500 and Scott and Campbell's are much better than that.

 

Scott also should be ranked ahead of Campbell (as well as Montgomery County) as they have much better quality wins and better losses than does the Camels. They also have played Mason County and GRC the best out of all the other teams in the 10th. See post #12 for more details.

 

So as for right now, Scott has proved themselves worthy of the #3 ranking in the 10th and are more deserving of that ranking based off their play so far this season.

I'm really happy for the kids at Scott as they are FINALLY getting some recognition from the state for their hard work and excellent play so far this year.

 

Scott has some very impressive wins this year over some ranked teams in the state and have won them in some very convincing fashion. Even their losses were close ones and it had to come down to the very last minutes of the 4th quarter to decide the winner (with the exception of the Moeller game). I hope Scott continues with their success!:thumb:

It is big since it is only the third time in Scott's history that they are ranked in the state's top 25.

I am not for sure what the deal is this year. I know GRC/Montgomery play twice and Bourbon/Montgomery play twice but Montgomery only played Paris once.

We only play Bourbon and Paris once. Montgomery is the only one in the district we play twice.

Harrison can play with Brossart. They have the coach to win them that game.

 

If were going to talk about having the coach to win them that game... Brossart's coach is absolutely the best coach in the 10th region and probably one of the best coaches in the state. He is top 5 every year in defensive average in the state and he always has his teams ready to play. It is absolutely a shame that one of these teams wont make it to regionals but i guess thats what happens when you play in the toughest district in the region. But then again it happens every year so what can you do.

Totally disagree. I had to deal with the pain that is Harrison's current coach for a couple of years. The coach wouldn't win the game for Harrison, it would have to be all players!

One thing that many of these ranking do not take into consideration is players getting hurt, and having to miss games, or out for other reasons.

 

I know when I made my predictions of Mason and Clark tied for first I did consider this fact. Mason has had players to miss games for various reasons. Clark has been hit by the injury bug all season, with different players missing several games or out for the season. When a player is out for a injury, usually their next game/s back they are not 100% ( Case in point Jenkins of Manuel)

 

I am sure there are other teams in the 10th that have had players miss games for various reasons.

 

The rest of this season and rankings will be interesting to see how this will effect teams.

Would Darius Miller developed to Mr. Basketball under Code? Who knows!

Losing to decent teams? Go look at Montgomery's schedule and you will see all the decent teams they have lost too.
