Minus Eminence you could almost just draw a name out of a hat. I really think any team could win it...but I think the favorite is Owen followed by GC HC and TC. With that said, Carroll could win it as well with home court and all. Its a toss up to me.

If Owen's backcourt can take care of the ball and their big men can stay out of foul trouble I would say they are the favorite but they have been very up and down thus far this year. I wouldn't count Henry or Carroll from contending as well. With the type of year that Yager (I hope I spelt that correct) and company are having accompanied with home court advantage, it wouldn't suprise me if Carroll walks away with the title. And Henry Co. has some kids that can play (the lefty especially....I believe he is #23). I would say its these three teams that are the biggest contenders.....especially if the kid from GC doesn't play.

To say this thing is wide open is an understatement. You could see a team get eliminated the first round and then be playing for a chance to go to Rupp a few weeks later.

Home court is entirely overrated in tournament play. Not saying Carroll won't win, but since the regional tournament conception in 1990 see how many hosts won the title in boys or girls. Not very many.

I am going to have to have to go with Owen on this one. They have been improving every game and I look for them to make things happen in this tournament.

In the girls the host has won it the last 2 years...I think/hope it is a big advantage!

I think CC has a great chance this year..except they have GC in the 1st round. IT is hard to beat a team 3 times in a row, and they are a good ball club.

True. But the previous 15 seasons I believe only the 2001 Owen Co. squad won on its home court. And since 1992, the third year since the regional format inception, only Walton-Verona in 2004 and Gallatin last year has won on their home floor.

Some one correct me if I am incorrect.

The teams this year are so evenly matched, there would have to be a slight home court advantage. Although Owen did just defeat Carroll at Carroll.

I would def put WV in the mix. They will be a tough out.

It would really surprise me since Walton beat Carroll Co. tonight 62-34. They completely dominated Carroll and it was never a game. Walton is as hot as anyone, they could be the sleeper.
