Swisher is the better player, despite last year's numbers.

I think Nady would be the better fit IMO. That would be huge to get one of these guys.

I'd probably go with Nady, I think anyone would be an improvement for what we have in LF right now which is no one, if you take in account that dickerson isnt a regular starter yet.

I agree 100%. Nady hits for better average, and would put up very good numbers at GABP.

Just playing around with the line-up, but if the Reds could get either of those guys it looks alot better than it has. Of course you could move some of these guys around in the batting order as well, but looking at it, better speed pops out at me for sure.

Nady's 89 games with Pittsburgh last season is out of context with the rest of his career, and chances are very good that 2008 was his career year. Swisher is coming off his worst season, but was clearly better than Nady in 2006 and 2007.

Nady is 30 and is in his prime. The last two years his numbers have been very good which tells me his game has improved. In 2007 Nady hit .274 against righties and in 2008 he hit .317 against righties, so not really sure where your coming from as far as saying he doesn't hit righties well. Saying someone was clearly better in the past doesn't do much for me now. It's obvious Nady has improved, it's also obvious Swisher has declined.

 

I would prefer Nady at this point, but if it's Swisher, I'll be ok with that as well.:thumb:

The three years prior to last, Willie Taveras hit .291, .278, and .320. He just turned 27 so the bolded part is great news then.
