NEXT
6'3" 185lbs. If he DOES come back, where could he go down on the list of all-time college greats? If he DOESN'T come back, what kinda of pro is he?
MJAlltheWay24
Honestly, IMO he really doesn't go down as a college great. Might sound wrong but I need to see him perform like this at a larger and a better school for him to go down as a great. Last year his performance reminded me of something like Wally Szcerbiak, but he has backed it up more this year. As for pro... he is a foreign seas player. But then again, I have been wrong before. I disagree completely. He is an NBA player. He can handle the ball and fill it up. Also, while he takes bad shots from time to time I believe he has a very high basketball IQ as well. If JJ Redick can be in the NBA then Curry definitly can.
MJAlltheWay24
I am sure many will disagree. Well you do have a point about JJ Reddick. I just think he is far two small and coudln't remotely defend. If I were him I would much rather go be a solid player overseas and do really well than ride the bench in the NBA. Size is close to the same and Curry is not even close to being where he could be physically. Ball handling and lateral quickness are light years apart, with Curry having the edge. IMHO. NobizLikeShowbiz
I have to disagree with ya MJ. Stephon will make a really good pro. This year will allow him to improve his ball handling skills, that way he will be able to play the Point in the NBA rather than the two guard. He is automatic from behind the arc and has tremendous range. He will need to work on his defense but since he is asked to carry the team on the offensive end, he has to relax and take plays off on the defensive end. As far as college, if he ends up staying another year he will go down as a great player. Especially if he can have another run in the NCAA tournament like last year. His performance in the tournament last year has to go down as one of the single greatest individual performances of all time.

MJAlltheWay24
Mayby I just haven't watch him enough. I have only really watched him once this year. I just don't see him being able to play with other point guards in the NBA...and he is to small to play any other position.

He has put up some good numbers against some really good competition so far. He is the ONLY player on the offensive end for Davidson too. 6'3 isn't really that small, is it? I know he probably couldn't compete with Elite PG's, but what do you about the Andre Millers and guys in his range?
MJAlltheWay24
6'3 isn't really that small, is it? Not terribly, but still much smaller than average. Plus, you and I both know that his "smallness" refers to much more than his height (muscle and strength). I may be completely wrong here, and I hope for his sake that I am. I just don't see him being an NBA player really.

I think he'll be in the NBA and be a spot up shooter for someone, hes not going to be an all star or put up huge numbers but he can contribute. He'll have to play pg, no way he plays sg in the league. Even then players are going to be taller, faster, and stronger than anyone he has faced in college.
