As mentioned in the thread that got closed Bryan went off for 48. He had 21 in the first quarter, and 27 at the half on 6 of 10 shooting from 3-point range. Anyone who said he wouldn't start on other teams in the area is flat out wrong. Bryan would be so much better with other good players around him.

That is a great performance. He is in a situation that allows him to put up big numbers and take lots of shots. He would start for most teams, but not for Holmes or Boone IMO. I have seen the young man play.

Bryan was averaging 32.1/game before the 48. He would start for most teams in NKY.

But if Bryan would play on another team he would not get as many shots IMO. I'm not hating on Villa but he takes almost most the shots for this team.

WOW!!! 48 LARGE!! Great job young man!! Schue-B-Doo in double figures, also! Outstanding!!

There's no question Bryan can play on any team in NKY. He'd start for 99% of them. He'd be Holmes PG next year. Boone would love to have him. Every team would.

Bryan is a very talented player but he is also in a situation that allows him to basically do as he pleases. While he is talented enough to play and start for most teams in the region would he be able to succeed in a more team first environment?

Lets give the kid credit for dropping practically a Ulysses S.Grant on the Tigers and stop with the scenarios. Congrats to the kid. Heck when Scott Draud was dropping 35 a game or Jack "Bingo" jennings was doing it nobody was talking about these things.

He is carrying his team as he should. In the prediction thread I said he would get 40 and they would win a close game. He must have read that thread. LOL

Great performance by the Young boy from Bellevue as well, he got 32.

Is Young the big man. If so I've been hearing good things about him. I also said it would be a close game.

Why do we assume he can't be a "team" player? He is doing exactly what the HC of VMA needs him to do - carry the team offensively. That's not easy to do. There aren't a lot of kids in NKY that could go out and put up 35 a night. Its not as easy as some try to make it out to be.

Don't automatically discount his ability simply based on the competition level. We had the same argument a few years ago with Romes who has been very good now for 3 years at the D3 level at MSJ.

Watch this kid's game. He can flat out play. Anywhere.

I thought he was more of a team player last year, but i think that was because he had other players on the team like Love and Hamilton was alright. I'm just wondering how many of the teams shots he is taking this year. I believe he is capable of being a team player.

Romes should be at a much larger school IMO.

If your coach tells you to take the shots, you ARE a team player. You're doing exactly what your coach requires and what your team needs in order to compete.

What's the issue here?

Let's discuss the game. If you'd like to debate the merits of the player at other schools, etc. please feel free to start a thread about that specifically. For this thread, let's discuss VM vs. Bellevue.
