January 3, 200917 yr Did you attend Beale Street? We did not. Maybe it would have change my opinion some. We were told by some ECU fans that it was poppin down there
January 4, 200917 yr Memphis was an interesting place to say the least. We had a great time at the game and on Beale St., but the service everywhere we went, was TERRIBLE!! It took us 40 minutes to check into our hotel (Holiday Inn Select-Downtown) and after we checked it, our room wasn't ready. Both dinners we ate were very good, once they got there. Both nights we were at a table for at least 90 minutes. It was like it was the first time these places had ever done a Liberty Bowl. Needless to say, if the Cats go back to the Liberty Bowl, my crew will just stay home and have a "Beale St. like" party and watch the game on TV.
January 4, 200917 yr Something else I forgot to ask.....did you guys that were in Memphis think the ECU fans were total jerks? I have never met an entire group of fans that were rude and cocky (at least on Thursday night).

My family loved the trip to Memphis and the Liberty Bowl. Beale Street was amazing, and the stadium was much better than I thought it would be. IMO UK fans outnumbered ECU fans by probably 15-20%. Memphis is one of the funnest cities I've ever visited, and I can't wait to go back.
January 5, 200917 yr I had been to Memphis before...so I kinda new what to expect. With that being said, I will NOT go back to Memphis. Beale St just can not outweigh the other problems with that city.

The few my crew actually talked to tried to bring up some basketball stuff and I thought to myself this school may not even have a team. The dude was cluless

Altohugh, looking back I can say that we didnt plan our trip out very well because we never made it to Beale St. Me and my gang kinda just settle at the first bigger exit we came too but we were treated like kings at this one joint..lol
