Trinity 73 Boone Co 68 (OT)

Featured Replies

Yes, he needs a couple of inches. Pretty good for a freshman.

Popp from Boone played good defense on him and kept him from scoring after being switched to guard him late in the first Q.

At this point, I think Trinity plays better as a team with Corbett at point. He shows good maturity with the ball. Trinity gained on Boone or pushed the margin out each time he was in the game.

Yeah good point. I just don't think he is use to playing with the team yet and vice versa. I do think he should be on the court though, maybe not at point all the time but there is a place for that shot on the court. He also seemed to put pretty good pressure on the ball on the other end. It will all work itself out though as they get use to playing with one another.

Thanks for the post.

Lay had a quiet good game on the offensive end for Boone. I didn't realize he had that many points. Probably all of them were from the block, but he knows his role and plays it well and is strong, even though not overally tall at 6'3". He has been playing pretty well and rebounding well this year. McFarland made some great interior passes to him in this game.

I thought Little from Trinity played well too. Sewell was probably the best player on the floor. He easily makes his team 10-15 points better when he is in, and when he is out, they definitley miss him.

There is room for improvement with both teams, as both teams missed several bunnies during the game and turned the ball over too much.

How tall would you say Harrison is? I havent seen him for a couple of years, for the last time I seen him play he was 5' (guesstimate), pulling up and draining from 25 feet in the 6th grade against 16th region freshman teams.

Isn't he in the 5'6" range?

I don't know how accurate this is but according to my eyes from the last row of Lex Cath he is about 5'11". And yeah i didn't get to see any of those 25 footers today, in my opinion I think the coach needs to let him loose a little bit more.

I was at a party hosted by Trinity Fans and I heard this story and just wanted to see if there is some truth to it. I was told this story along with a few other people attending this party that a Junior Basketball Player at Trinity was told that the made the Junior Varsity Team with most of his classmates making the Varsity, his father (whom the player does not live with) called, Coach Sabo complaining and the player was told the next day that he was no longer welcome on any basketball team at Trinity :madman:. Has anyone else heard about this episode???

Sounds like something the Trinity Baseball program might just do to student athletes, but the baseball coach is a Trinity Grad and the Trinity Leadership allows for these horror stories to happen but Sabo sure isn't a Trinity Alum.

Looked like about 5'8" to 5'10 range when compared to Boone's 5'10 to 6'0 guards.

Who knows what all the father said to the coach, seems kind of harsh that the son cant play at all now. The coaches go thur alot with parents like this, dont know all the details and we proabley never will, but in this case I think you got to support the coach.

A kid should not be dismissed from the team because of his dad's comments!!

I agree.

I agree, and I doubt that happened with Coach Szabo.

Are these games at Lex Caths gym or are they just hosted by Lex Cath and held at another gym?

All games are held at Lexington Catholic.
